Austin Spurs 2026-27 Season Brings Basketball, Theme Nights and Family Fun to Cedar Park

For basketball fans across Cedar Park, Leander, Round Rock and the greater Austin area, the return of the Austin Spurs for the 2026-27 NBA G League season means another chance to catch rising NBA talent close to home, along with themed game nights, special giveaways and family-friendly entertainment.

The San Antonio Spurs' NBA G League affiliate is playing a 50-game schedule, including 23 games at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park and one special matchup in San Antonio. The season, presented by SWBC, opened November 6 on the road against the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, with Austin's home opener scheduled for Sunday, November 8, at 3 p.m. against the Laketown Squadron.

Opening Night will feature Fan Fest activities, including games, face painting and food specials. A special ticket package also includes a reversible Austin and San Antonio Spurs jersey, subject to availability and package eligibility.

A Central Texas Basketball Tradition Continues

The Austin Spurs have been part of the Central Texas sports community since 2005, when the franchise began playing as the Austin Toros. Renamed the Austin Spurs in 2014, the team has won two NBA G League championships, in 2012 and 2018, while serving as a developmental affiliate of the San Antonio Spurs.

The NBA G League gives young prospects, developing professionals and NBA-assigned players opportunities to build their skills and pursue careers at basketball's highest level. For fans in Cedar Park, that means the chance to watch future NBA talent compete in a more intimate arena setting.

The team has played at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park since 2010, adding professional basketball to the city's growing lineup of sports and entertainment offerings.
