2025 Fort Bend County Pecan Show Now Accepting Entries from Local Growers
Whether you’re managing a commercial pecan orchard or simply have a prize-worthy tree in your backyard, the 2025 Fort Bend County Pecan Show wants your best harvest.
Hosted by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service of Fort Bend County, this annual event celebrates local agriculture and invites pecan growers of all experience levels to enter 45 pecans from a single tree for judging. Entries are now being accepted and must be submitted by Wednesday, November 12 to the AgriLife Extension Office Annex Building at 1436 Band Road in Rosenberg.
The show is part of a long-standing Texas tradition that recognizes excellence in pecan production. Participation in the county-level show not only highlights growers’ hard work and horticultural knowledge—it also opens the door to advancement. Pecans that place at the county level may qualify for competition at the regional and potentially state level, offering even more visibility for local agricultural talent.

Neighboring counties without a pecan show of their own are also welcome to submit entries in Rosenberg, expanding the event’s reach and community spirit. From hobby growers to seasoned orchard managers, the Pecan Show offers a unique opportunity to come together and share the fruits of this year’s labor.
All entries will be exhibited at the Pecan Harvest Festival on Saturday, November 22, 2025, in downtown Richmond, where winners will also be announced and celebrated.
To participate, simply gather 45 pecans from a single tree and deliver them to the Extension Office before the deadline. Full rules and entry details are available at: fortbend.agrilife.org/event/fort-bend-county-pecan-show. For questions, community members can call 281-342-3034.
