Where to Bring Your Unneeded Medications on National Rx Take Back Day in Tomball

October 27 2023

On October 28, National Prescription Drug Take Back Day presented by the DEA will take place across the United States, including right here in Tomball. In response to the drug overdose epidemic in the United States, the DEA’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day reflects the DEA’s commitment to Americans’ safety and health, encouraging the public to remove unneeded medications from their homes as a measure of preventing medication misuse and opioid addiction from ever starting.

The public is encouraged and invited to bring their unneeded medications, including expired drugs, to HCA Tomball, located at 605 Holderrieth Blvd, Tomball, Texas, 77375, on October 28. Between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM, the Tomball Police Department will be partnering with HCA Tomball for the DEA National RX Take Back at HCA Tomball Hospital.

Now is the time to clean out your medicine cabinets and help keep drugs from being misused and stolen. The Tomball Police Department will be collecting tablets, capsules, patches, and other solid forms of prescription drugs. You can also dispose of vaping devices and cartridges as long as the lithium batteries are removed. However, liquids and syringes will NOT be accepted.
