Westlake Fire Department to Host Junior Fire Academy This Month
This month, the Westlake Fire Department will host the Westlake Junior Fire Academy, a 5-day camp that aims to educate participants about the exciting career in Fire and EMS.
In partnership with various community agencies, the program will provide students with the opportunity to learn about teamwork, responsibility and leadership while participating in exciting hands-on activities in a fun atmosphere. Activities include tours of the fire station and apparatus, fire extinguisher training, first aid and CPR training, mock search and rescue drills, hose operations, and much more.
Classes will take place from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM from July 24 - July 28, 2023 at the Westlake Fire Department, located at 19636 Saums Road, Houston, TX 77084.
