West Point Glee Club to Perform Free Concert in San Antonio Featuring Local Graduate Jamin Hofmann
On the evening of Friday, February 20, East Central ISD will proudly host the prestigious West Point Glee Club for a free concert at the Patterson Center for the Performing Arts. The performance begins at 7:00 p.m. and is open to the public, offering a rare opportunity for San Antonio-area residents to experience one of the nation’s most respected collegiate choral groups—right in their own community.
The concert holds special local significance as it features Jamin Hofmann, a 2022 East Central High School Valedictorian and current cadet at the United States Military Academy at West Point. Hofmann, who now performs as a member of the Glee Club, will return home to join the ensemble for this one-night event, making it a particularly meaningful evening for East Central families, alumni, and friends.
Honoring Musical Excellence and Local Roots
Founded in 1903, the West Point Glee Club has earned a national reputation for excellence in performance and military tradition. As musical ambassadors for the United States Military Academy, the ensemble tours across the country, performing in prestigious venues and representing the values of duty, honor, and country through choral music.
For the East Central ISD community, this event is more than just a concert—it’s a celebration of local achievement and national service. Hofmann’s journey from East Central classrooms to the halls of West Point exemplifies the district’s commitment to academic excellence and civic leadership.
“We are truly honored to host the West Point Glee Club and welcome home one of our own,” said East Central ISD Superintendent Roland Toscano. “This performance is a unique gift to our community and a source of pride for all who know Jamin and have supported him on his journey.”
