Unleash Your Creativity at the Fort Bend Children’s Discovery Center's Paper Playground Exhibit Opening This September
The Fort Bend Children’s Discovery Center is inviting enthusiasts of creativity and innovation to experience a unique hands-on bilingual exhibit called “Paper Playground," beginning September 4, 2024. Heralding paper as a simple yet limitless tool of imagination, the center is offering visitors of all ages an opportunity to explore the myriad possibilities of this everyday material through this brand new bilingual exhibit.
“Exhibits like ‘Paper Playground’ are so important because they foster creativity and critical thinking in a way that is hands-on and accessible to everyone," Jacob Breier, Director of Exhibit Development at the Fort Bend Children’s Discovery Center, said. "Paper is something we all have experience with, but this exhibit encourages you to see it in a new light—as a tool for endless possibilities. It’s a place where imagination can truly take flight."
Designed for the Fort Bend community, the exhibit presents an array of activities involving cutting, folding, building, and stacking. Each activity is tailored to present a different perspective of paper, ensuring that no two visits to the exhibit are ever alike. The exhibit includes constructing immersive Cardboard Creations, creating Paper Puppets, designing Paper Planes, crafting aerial devices to soar through Wind Towers, cutting/tearing/folding and Paper Projects.
