Tomball’s July 4th Celebration & Street Fest Returns with Fireworks, Music, and Family Fun
Families across Northwest Harris County are invited to celebrate America’s birthday in a big way as the City of Tomball hosts its annual July 4th Celebration & Street Fest on Friday, July 4, 2025, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Business Highway 249, just north of FM 2920 and behind Kroger (see map here).
This free-admission patriotic festival is one of the largest Independence Day events in the Greater Houston area, transforming Tomball’s main thoroughfare into a bustling party complete with live music, food trucks, inflatables, giveaways, and a giant fireworks display set to light up the night sky.
A Cool Celebration for All Ages
With summer temperatures on the rise, the festival’s organizers are ready to help families beat the heat. The event features a Kids' Zone packed with wet bounce house slides, a foam pit party inflatable, and a giant obstacle course to keep little ones moving and cool. Face painting and patriotic giveaways, including a chance to win a limited-edition Tomball Forever T-shirt, round out the family-friendly fun.
Live music kicks off at 7:30 p.m., following a special tribute to veterans and active-duty military at 7:00 p.m. with an Armed Forces medley and sing-along. The celebration crescendos with a massive aerial fireworks show around 9:30 p.m., visible from multiple vantage points throughout the city.
What to Know Before You Go
Business Highway 249 north of FM 2920 will be closed to traffic from 3:00 p.m. to midnight to make way for the street festival. Attendees can find parking at nearby retail centers, including Kroger, Lowe’s, Target, Academy, Kohl’s, and H-E-B, or in limited parking behind the stage area via Hicks Street.

While coolers are allowed, guests are reminded that outside alcohol and glass containers are prohibited inside the event footprint. The Tomball Fire Department will monitor weather conditions and provide public updates regarding any changes to the fireworks schedule.
Organizers also advise those viewing fireworks outside the festival grounds to find safe, legal parking and avoid blocking roads or creating traffic hazards, especially near Lowe’s, where fireworks will be launched.
Celebrate with the Community
This Tomball tradition continues to grow each year, drawing families from all across Northwest Houston, Tomball, Spring, and Cypress for an unforgettable night of patriotic pride. From the live performances and tribute ceremoniesto the vendors, food, and inflatables, the July 4th Celebration & Street Fest is designed to bring neighbors together in the heart of Tomball.
