The Brass Tap Katy/Richmond to Reopen Under New Ownership with Exciting Upgrades
The Brass Tap Katy/Richmond is set to make its grand return on February 3, 2025, under new ownership by the Bumstead family, bringing fresh energy and a revitalized experience to the popular neighborhood bar. The venue, originally opened in August 2022 by Chris and Kuralay Christensen, will now begin a new chapter with the Bumsteads at the helm, promising exciting updates and a welcoming atmosphere.
The Bumstead family, owners of the Kingwood Brass Tap, are thrilled to expand the brand to Katy/Richmond. “We’re blessed and thrilled to bring you another Brass Tap Craft Beer Bar and Kitchen!” said the Bumstead family in a recent announcement. Their goal is to provide the ultimate neighborhood bar experience, featuring 60 taps of craft beer, handcrafted cocktails, and a delicious food menu alongside nightly entertainment.

At the 7109 Katy-Gaston Road location, guests will enjoy a variety of locally sourced craft beers and popular dishes like Pretzel Bites with beer cheese, Loaded Fries, Nashville Hot Chicken Sliders, and BBQ Chicken Pizza, as well as mouthwatering desserts like Warm Brownie Bites. The food and drink menu is carefully designed to pair perfectly with the 60-tap craft beer selection, making it an ideal place for beer lovers and food enthusiasts alike.
Entertainment will be a major focus at the Brass Tap Katy/Richmond, with live music every weekend, sports events on 23 big-screen TVs, and fun activities like Trivia and Queen of Hearts.
