The 5 Browns Bring World-Class Piano Virtuosity to Cypress Creek FACE’s 2025-2026 Star-Lit! Series
A night of classical brilliance awaits audiences across Northwest Houston as internationally acclaimed piano ensemble The 5 Browns take the stage at The Centrum on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. The performance is part of the Star-Lit! Series hosted by Cypress Creek FACE (Foundation for the Arts and Community Enrichment), a nonprofit arts organization known for bringing world-class performers and educational programs to the Greater Houston area.
Desirae, Deondra, Gregory, and Melody Brown, along with Stephen Beus—a gold medalist of the Gina Bachauer International Piano Competition and frequent collaborator with the ensemble—make up the powerful quintet set to perform in the acoustically renowned venue. All five members trained at The Juilliard School, and together they’ve performed in major concert halls across the globe, including Carnegie Hall in New York and the National Concert Hall in Taipei.
The 5 Browns gained national attention in 2002 after being dubbed the “Fab Five” by People magazine and featured on Oprah and 60 Minutes. Since then, they’ve played with top orchestras in the U.S. and internationally, and appeared on major media outlets such as The Tonight Show, The Today Show, CNN, and The New York Times.
Their upcoming Cypress Creek concert promises an unforgettable evening of symphonic storytelling told entirely through five pianos and ten hands—showcasing both the electrifying precision and emotional depth that have become the group’s signature.

A Legacy of Arts and Enrichment in Northwest Houston
This event is just one highlight of Cypress Creek FACE’s dynamic 2025–2026 Performing Arts Season, which also features performances by Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Shades of Bublé, Commotion (a tribute to Creedence Clearwater Revival), The Rodney Marsalis Philadelphia Big Brass, and Next Generation Leahy.
Since 1997, Cypress Creek FACE has enriched the local arts scene through concerts, education programs, and community outreach. The organization was born out of a community vision to create a dedicated performing arts space at Cypress Creek Christian Church, resulting in the construction of The Centrum—an intimate, 740-seat concert hall known for its remarkable acoustics.
Today, FACE operates three performance series—Star-Lit!, Promenade, and Free Children’s—and continues to offer accessible arts education through its Focus on Education initiative. The program provides master classes, workshops, free youth concerts, and summer orchestra camps for local students.
Even after challenges like Hurricane Harvey and the COVID-19 pandemic temporarily relocated performances, FACE remained committed to its mission and returned to The Centrum in 2021 after completing significant renovations.
