The 16th Annual 3BQ Cook-Off and Car Show Returns to Bridgeland for a Weekend of BBQ, Classic Cars, and Community

February 04 2025

The countdown is officially on for one of Cypress’ most anticipated annual events—the 16th Annual 3BQ Cook-Off and Car Show—set to take place on March 22, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Oak Meadow Park in Bridgeland. This community-driven event, known for its fierce barbecue competition, impressive car show, and lively entertainment, promises another exciting year of food, fun, and fundraising for the whole family.

For two days, pitmasters and backyard grill enthusiasts will fire up their smokers in pursuit of the coveted "Best BBQ in the CYP" title. Competitors will showcase their culinary skills in three staple categories: brisket, ribs, and chicken, with expert judges determining who takes home the top prizes.

The event kicks off on Friday, March 21, with the crowd-favorite Quick Fire Challenge, a fast-paced competition where participants craft creative dishes using secret ingredients. “This challenge has become a judges’ favorite over the years,” the 3BQ Committee shared. “The level of imagination and skill from our local cooks never ceases to amaze us.”

Saturday, March 22, will feature the main barbecue competition, the classic car show, and an exciting lineup of local musical performances.

Beyond the competition, the 3BQ Cook-Off serves as a major fundraiser for the Bridgeland High Athletic Booster Club and the Bridgeland FFA Booster Club. All proceeds from BBQ plate sales will go directly to these organizations, helping provide resources and opportunities for local student-athletes and Future Farmers of America members.

"By purchasing a plate, you’re not just enjoying great barbecue—you’re directly supporting students in our community,” the committee emphasized.

The car show is set to showcase an impressive lineup of classic, custom, and exotic vehicles, making it a must-see for car enthusiasts. Meanwhile, local bands will take the stage throughout the weekend, providing a soundtrack of live music as attendees enjoy delicious BBQ and explore the event.
