The hallways of Taylor High School in Katy are getting a frightening makeover this Halloween weekend, thanks to the creativity and hard work of Mustang Theatre students. On Friday, October 30, and Saturday, October 31, the school will welcome visitors for a student-created haunted house experience that promises a different kind of walk through the familiar halls of THS.
For Katy ISD families, local students and anyone looking for Halloween activities in Katy, Texas, the event offers a chance to enjoy some seasonal scares while supporting the talented young performers and creators behind the production.
Mustang Theatre Students Bring a Haunted House to Taylor High School
The students of Taylor High School's Mustang Theatre program have been hard at work transforming their campus into a Halloween attraction, putting their theatrical creativity to use beyond the traditional stage.
Titled "Haunted House: In the Halls of Taylor High School," the experience invites guests to explore school hallways that have been reimagined for Halloween weekend. The event's promotional message offers a fitting warning: "You've walked the halls. But never like this."
The haunted house gives Mustang Theatre students an opportunity to share their work with the community in a fun and unexpected way. From the planning and preparation to bringing the experience to life, the students have invested their time and talents into creating something their classmates, families and Katy neighbors can enjoy.
And while the event is designed to deliver some scares, it's also a chance for the community to show its support for the school's theatre program.
