Stageworks Theatre, a cornerstone of the Northwest Houston performing arts community, is gearing up for an exciting season filled with live performances, engaging workshops, and opportunities for local talent to shine. From its highly anticipated production of The Wedding Singer to a guided painting class, a monthly variety show, and a children’s theater program, there are plenty of ways for Houston-area residents to get involved and support the arts.
Located at 10760 Grant Rd, Stageworks Theatre has been a hub for creative expression since its founding in 2005. The nonprofit theater is dedicated to providing high-quality productions, educational programs, and a welcoming space for performers of all ages.
Upcoming Shows and Events at Stageworks Theatre
Heart in the Stars: A Guided Painting Class – February 15
Kicking off the month’s activities, Stageworks Theatre will host "Heart in the Stars," a step-by-step painting class on Saturday, February 15, from 4:30-5:30 p.m.. Led by a talented instructor, participants will create their own masterpieces in a beautifully decorated venue.
What to Expect:
- A guided painting session with all supplies included
- A finished artwork to take home
- A selection of charcuterie boards, desserts, and drinks available for purchase

- $25 per person for couples
- $20 per person for groups of five or more (plus processing fees)

The Wedding Singer – February 21 to March 16
Stageworks Theatre’s Garza Mainstage will transport audiences to 1985 New Jersey with The Wedding Singer, a musical comedy based on the hit Adam Sandler movie. Directed by Adam W. Delka and choreographed by Stacy Hawking, this high-energy production tells the story of Robbie Hart, a wedding singer whose life takes a turn when his fiancée leaves him at the altar. As he navigates heartbreak, he meets Julia, a waitress engaged to a wealthy but arrogant businessman. Can Robbie win her over before it’s too late.

Stageworks Monthly Variety Show – February 25
On the last Tuesday of every month, Stageworks Theatre invites local performers to showcase their talents in a fun, family-friendly variety show.
February’s theme is "Love & Heartbreak." This month’s show, taking place on February 25 at 7 p.m., will feature performances inspired by the joys and struggles of love. Singers, dancers, comedians, and musicians are encouraged to submit their audition videos by February 14. Submit your audition here.

Children’s Theatre Program – The Rainbow Fish (3 Spots Left!)
Stageworks Theatre is offering a unique opportunity for young performers (ages 5-11) to participate in a production of The Rainbow Fish, a one-act play based on the beloved bestselling children's book.
Program Details:
- Classes begin February 19 (Mondays & Wednesdays, 6:00-8:00 p.m.)
- Auditions take place on the first day of class
- Performances: April 25-27 at Fischer Blackbox Theatre
