(SC) OLYMPICS AT THE PARK

We hope you were able to enjoy the Olympics at the Park Event on Friday, July 23rd. The event would not have been possible without all the hard work from all our Southcreek volunteers and local businesses. We would especially like to thank the Copperfield Swim Team for providing the hot dogs & cookies and real estate agent E.J. Escobedo from The Franco Team for providing the ice cream. Both were a huge hit! Thank you to the Southdown Village Board for allowing us to borrow their outdoor movie screen system to stream the opening ceremonies and Matt Elixson for providing us with his fantastic DJ talents. Thank you to all the event committee members that put in numerous hours planning, preparing and working at the event. We really appreciate all the hard work from Judith Carey, Santiago Solis, Julie Coburn, Quintene Parker and Ryan Hause. In addition to the committee members, we would like to thank all the volunteers that donated their time to set up and help at the event: Tom Carey, Davis Parker, Brad Coburn, Karen White, Dave Anderson, Carmen Reyes, Lorri Thompson, Bryne & Ann Liner, Dennis Zehler, Ally Trujillo, Grace Carey, Blake Sitterly, Angie Montes, Abby Espin, Dave & Charolette LeMeir, Charlotte Greene, Wilma Lindsey and Megan Lindsey. We could not have had such a great event without all of you! We also appreciate Sgt. Hardcastle, the deputies and the Cy-Fair Fire Department Firefighters that joined our event and visited with all the neighbors. We appreciate their support of our community.

(SC) YARD OF THE MONTH WINNERS

Congratulations to our August Yard of the Month winners: 16338 Rainbow Lake and 16734 Township Meadows. Your hard work really shows. We’ll be awarding monthly winners through September, so gas up your mowers, sharpen your edgers and join the competition.

Southcreek Winners Yard of The Month August 2021

(SC) SOCIAL EVENTS COMMITTEE

We would love to have more events like the Olympics in the Park in our neighborhood; but, we need the volunteers to make that happen. If you would be interested in being on the Social Events Committee or if you would like to volunteer at a social event, please email Judith.Carey@att.net, NATIONAL NIGHT OUT is Tuesday, October 5th. Check with your Block Captain for more details.

(SC) BOARD MEETINGS

The next Southcreek Board meeting will be on September 16th at 6 PM. Southcreek Board meetings are on the 3rd Thursday of each month. Login details will be posted on Town Square the week of the meeting. This is a public forum where you can ask any questions or express any concerns to the Southcreek HOA Board. Attending Board meeting is a great way to know what is going on in our community.

(SC) SAVE THE DATE… SOUTHCREEK ANNUAL MEETING

Southcreek Annual Meeting will be in October. Watch Town Square for the date and the details.

(SC) HOA DUES

Friendly reminder! Your HOA dues help keep Southcreek looking like as great as it does-please make it a priority to pay your dues if you have not yet done so. Please contact Karla Weeden at kweeden@pmghouston. com if you have any questions.

(SC) TOWN SQUARE

Please make sure to register on Town Square (TownSq), the official mode of communication for the Association, so you can receive all announcements and updates from the Southcreek Board. Please see the directions below on signing up:

  1. Go to www.townsq.io.
  2. Click on “Need to Register.”
  3. Enter your account number and zip code. If you do not know your account number, you can find it on your assessment statement or you can call Principal Management Group at 713-329-7100 or email kweeden@pmghouston.com.

(SC) HARRIS COUNTY SHERIFF DEPT.

Report any suspicious activity to the Harris County Sheriff’s non-emergency line at 713-221-6000, option 6. Remember, the patrolling Sheriff’s deputies depend on us as much as we depend on them.

(SC) BLOCK CAPTAINS

We have been able to recruit block captains for many of the streets in Southcreek. But, we still have some streets that need a block captain. If you live on one of these streets, please consider being a block captain. It is a great way to get to know your neighbors and others in your community.

Here is a list of the streets that still need block captains:

  • April Hill Street
  • Autumn Falls Lane
  • Brittany Knoll Drive
  • Country Bend Drive
  • Echo Point Lane
  • Edgevale Court
  • Elm Point Court
  • Garden Hill Lane
  • Gladebrook Glen Lane
  • Glenbrook Knoll Lane
  • Maple Brook Lane
  • Pebbleglen Drive
  • Pine Center Drive
  • Round Grove Lane
  • Royal Garden Drive
  • Sandygate Lane
  • Spruce Haven Drive
  • Sunny Ridge Drive
  • Valley Laurel Court

For more information, please contact Bryne Liner at bryneliner@gmail.com

(SC) SOUTHCREEK ARC APPLICATIONS

Please remember that approval from the Architectural Review Committee must be obtained prior to any changes or improvements made to the exterior of your property, including but not limited to repainting, roofing, door/window replacement, siding replacement, major landscaping, pools and home additions. ARC application forms are on www.townsq.io and on Copperfield.org. Completed applications can be emailed to ARC@ pmghouston.com.

(SC) DEED RESTRICTION LETTERS

Please help maintain Southcreek Village’s property values! To ensure the aesthetic integrity of Southcreek Village is being maintained, periodic site inspections are performed by PMG each month. If you happen to receive a deed restriction violation notice, please do not ignore it or disregard it. It is always best to reach out to the management company right away to let them know either that you have taken care of the violation, have plans to do so, or are unable to do so right away. Please contact Karla Weeden with PMG at kweeden@pmghouston.com. This communication is important because subsequent letters from the Association can result in additional costs for the homeowner for certified mail fees and even legal fees if the issue persists with no response. Copies of Southcreek Village’s governing documents are posted on http://www.Townsq.io and on www.Copperfield.org .

  2. It is illegal to pass a school bus from either direction when the lights are flashing.
