Six Flags Fiesta Texas Brings Tricks and Treats by Day, Fright Fest by Night to San Antonio
Halloween at Six Flags Fiesta Texas looks very different depending on what time families walk through the gates.
For younger children, the San Antonio theme park is filling weekend days with costumes, candy, family entertainment and Halloween fun through Tricks and Treats, a daytime celebration designed to deliver the season without the scares.
Then, as daylight fades, the mood changes.
Fright Fest presented by SNICKERS brings haunted mazes, roaming monsters, elaborate scare zones, nighttime rides and horror-themed entertainment into the park on select nights through Nov. 1. Together, the two events give San Antonio-area families, teens and Halloween fans a choice between playful and frightening, or the opportunity to experience a little of both during the same fall season.
Tricks and Treats Brings Family-Friendly Halloween Fun to Fiesta Texas
Tricks and Treats runs Saturdays and Sundays from Sept. 12 through Nov. 1, 2026, and Six Flags describes the daytime event as Halloween fun without the fear.
That distinction is important for parents searching for kid-friendly Halloween events in San Antonio.
Rather than haunted houses and intense scare actors, Tricks and Treats centers on costumes, candy, entertainment, seasonal food and family rides. Children and adults can dress for the occasion, take part in The Costume Contest and enjoy Halloween-themed activities before the park transitions toward its nighttime Fright Fest atmosphere.
For families with younger children who love Halloween but are not ready for a haunted attraction, the daytime event offers a way to join the celebration without making fear the main event.
Halloween Shows Add to the Daytime Celebration
Tricks and Treats also features family-oriented live entertainment throughout Six Flags Fiesta Texas.
The park lists performances including The Heebie Jeebies and Haunted Hollywood, along with family-friendly dance opportunities, contests and other seasonal activities. The Spectral Sisters are also part of the Tricks and Treats entertainment lineup.
That gives families an alternative to simply moving from ride to ride. A visit can include a show, costume activities, seasonal food and attractions throughout the park, making Tricks and Treats more of a full Halloween outing than a traditional trick-or-treat stop.

Six Flags says Tricks and Treats includes seasonal foods, drinks and candy, while adult visitors can find beer and other beverages available during the festival.
Guests who stay into the evening will find a different seasonal menu during Fright Fest, including themed dishes, desserts and specialty cocktails.
For San Antonio families planning an extended day at the park, that makes the transition from daytime Halloween fun into nighttime entertainment part of the experience.
When the Sun Goes Down, Fright Fest Takes Over
Fright Fest is aimed at visitors looking for something considerably more intense.
The nighttime event runs on select nights from Sept. 11 through Nov. 1, 2026, bringing haunted attractions, scare zones, horror-themed shows and rides after dark to Six Flags Fiesta Texas.
Two major horror franchises anchor the 2026 lineup.
The Conjuring Universe brings visitors into the world of paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren, with scenes inspired by the Warrens' occult museum, Annabelle, The Nun and the Perron farmhouse.
SAW: LEGACY OF TERROR draws from the long-running SAW film franchise, placing guests inside scenes inspired by Jigsaw and the series' elaborate traps.
Those experiences join several original haunted mazes at the San Antonio park.
New Haunted Mazes Join Returning Fright Fest Favorites
Among the new attractions for 2026 is Nosferatu, which sends visitors through the docks of old Europe and into the home of the famous vampire.
Also new is Cinema Slasher presented by M&M'S, located inside Rockville High School and inspired by a popular attraction from Knott's Scary Farm. The maze moves through scenes representing different horror movie genres.
Returning experiences include Hexenhaus presented by SNICKERS, centered around malevolent witches, and Twisted: Theater of Torment presented by SKITTLES, which takes visitors into the unsettling world of Mr. Tangles and his puppet theater.
There is one important planning detail for visitors: haunted mazes require a separate Haunted Attractions Pass.
Six Flags currently lists Fright Fest bundles that combine park admission and haunted maze access starting at $69 online, while a standalone Haunted Attractions Pass starts at $30 online and does not include park admission. Processing fees and applicable taxes are additional, and prices can change.
Scare Zones Put Monsters Right in the Park
Guests do not have to enter a haunted maze to encounter Fright Fest characters.
Several outdoor scare zones transform areas of Fiesta Texas into themed environments filled with performers and Halloween scenery.
New for 2026 is Cirkus Bezerkus: Big Top Terror, built around a decaying traveling circus populated by sideshow performers and menacing clowns.
Another new addition, Alley of the Dead, draws on a late-1980s and early-1990s horror aesthetic, with toxic waste, neon lighting and punk zombies turning an urban alleyway into part of the Fright Fest experience.
Returning scare zones include Fear Acres, Steampunkins and Wicked Hollow, each giving guests another themed area to encounter as they move through the park.
Fright Fest Also Includes Live Entertainment
Not everything after dark is a haunted maze.
The Fright Fest entertainment schedule includes The Galactazoids, a new family-friendly concert featuring live performers and a mix of retro-inspired rock and electronic music.
Other offerings include The Arrival, Monster Mash Bash, Haunted Hollywood, Crossroads and Fiesta de los Muertos, which features Mariachi Los Soberanos and folklórico dancers celebrating Mexican music and traditions.
On Saturdays, Frightful Finale brings fireworks, flame effects, dancing fountains and Halloween music to Lone Star Lil's.
And, of course, many visitors come for one of the simplest Fright Fest traditions of all: riding Fiesta Texas roller coasters after dark.
One Park, Two Very Different Halloween Experiences
For local families trying to decide between Tricks and Treats or Fright Fest at Six Flags Fiesta Texas, the biggest difference comes down to atmosphere.
Tricks and Treats is the daytime, family-friendly choice. It is built around costumes, candy, entertainment, seasonal food and Halloween fun without an emphasis on frightening younger visitors.
Fright Fest is the nighttime experience, with haunted mazes, scare actors, horror themes and much more intense attractions.
That split can make planning easier for families with children of different ages. Younger children can enjoy Halloween during the day, while older teens and adults may decide to stay later for the scares.
Visitors should check the Six Flags Fiesta Texas calendar before heading out because Fright Fest operates on select nights, while Tricks and Treats is scheduled specifically for Saturdays and Sundays.
Oktoberfest Is Happening at Fiesta Texas, Too
Halloween is only part of the park's fall lineup.
Oktoberfest presented by Cash App is also running on select dates from Sept. 5 through Oct. 31, meaning some visits can include elements of Oktoberfest, Tricks and Treats and Fright Fest depending on the date and time.
Six Flags' regular one-day tickets include access to fall events offered on the selected date, including Tricks and Treats, Fright Fest and Oktoberfest, although access to Fright Fest haunted mazes costs extra.
What San Antonio Families Should Know Before Going
Anyone planning a fall trip to Six Flags Fiesta Texas should check the park calendar, operating hours and entertainment schedule before leaving home.
The Six Flags app provides current showtimes, directions and other park information, which can be especially useful on busy Halloween weekends when families may be trying to fit rides, seasonal entertainment and special events into the same visit.
For San Antonio-area residents, the appeal of the park's Halloween season is that it does not require every member of the family to celebrate the same way.
Some children may be perfectly happy dressing up, collecting treats and watching a daytime Halloween show. Older siblings might be counting down until the lights dim and the scare actors arrive. Parents may simply enjoy making a fall tradition out of doing both.
