Located at 6330 N. New Braunfels Avenue, San Antonio, TX 78209, the Howler Brothers Alamo Pop-Up is open now through January 15, giving local residents several months to explore the brand's seasonal collections and longtime favorites without making the drive to Austin or shopping online.

The company is also making its San Antonio arrival a celebration. A grand opening party is scheduled for Saturday, October 17, 2026, featuring local food and coffee, music, giveaways and a special gift for the first 100 customers through the door.

The Howler Brothers team is welcoming the community with a grand opening celebration on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at its new Alamo Heights location.

The launch party is intended to introduce shoppers to the brand while bringing together local businesses, music and a few special surprises.

The celebration will feature coffee from Reunion Coffee, food, music from Tropicana Joe, giveaways and additional activities.

One of the biggest incentives to arrive early is a special opening-day promotion. The first 100 people through the door will receive a free Howler Brothers gift bag containing merchandise and other surprises.

The company is encouraging attendees to RSVP in advance through its official grand opening party invitation.

For those who have followed the brand for years, the event offers an opportunity to shop its merchandise in person. For others, it is a chance to discover a Texas apparel company and enjoy a community gathering in Alamo Heights.

A New Chapter for Shopping at Sunset Ridge in Alamo Heights

The Howler Brothers pop-up is also part of a changing retail landscape along North New Braunfels Avenue.

The approximately 3,000-square-foot store occupies the former Tackle Box Outfitters space at Sunset Ridge Shopping Center, where the longtime outdoor retailer closed in February 2026 after nearly four decades in business.

According to reporting by the San Antonio Business Journal, Howler Brothers opened the temporary store October 15 with approximately 10 employees. The shopping center was acquired by Headwall Investments and Fifth Corner in December 2025.

The arrival of another outdoor-oriented retailer gives the property a connection to its previous tenant while introducing a different selection of merchandise to the area.

For nearby residents, the opening is another opportunity to support neighborhood retail and explore a business that has built its reputation in Texas.

Could Howler Brothers Open a Permanent San Antonio Store?

Although the Alamo Heights location is currently scheduled to operate only through January 15, 2027, the company has expressed interest in establishing a longer-term presence in San Antonio.

The San Antonio Business Journal reported that Brock Williams, the brand's retail director, indicated Howler Brothers is interested in permanent expansion into the San Antonio market. No permanent location or opening date has been announced.

For now, the temporary store gives the company an opportunity to introduce its merchandise directly to San Antonio shoppers and build connections within the local community.

Whether that eventually leads to a permanent Howler Brothers store remains to be seen.
