Show Your Patriotism in Copper Grove and Support the Cy-Falls Band with the Cypress Falls Flags Program
Every year, the students and parents of Cypress Falls High School bring a vibrant wave of red, white, and blue to the front yards of Copper Grove and surrounding neighborhoods—and they’re inviting more residents to join the tradition.
The Cy-Falls Flags Program, led by the Cypress Falls Band Boosters, is back for another year of patriotic celebration and community connection. For just $50 annually, families and businesses in the Cypress Falls High School attendance zone can have a 3’ x 5’ American flag proudly displayed near their curb on six national holidays, all while supporting the Golden Eagle Marching Band.
“We are excited to continue the Cy-Falls Flags program as a way to provide a public service while raising needed funds to support the band,” the band’s leadership shared. “Students and parents place over 775 U.S. flags in the front yards of our community neighbors on patriotic holidays throughout the year!”
The holidays included in the flag service are:
- Presidents Day – February
- Memorial Day – May
- Independence Day – July 4
- Labor Day – September
- Patriot Day – September 11 (Flags remain up from Labor Day through Patriot Day)
- Veterans Day – November
How the Program Works
At the start of each holiday, volunteers install the flag in the subscriber’s yard, returning afterward to respectfully remove it. This gesture of unity not only honors national milestones but also serves as a hands-on fundraising initiative that helps the Cy-Falls Band travel and compete in local, regional, and national music events.
“The band directors and Cypress Falls Band Boosters extend our sincere appreciation to all of our subscribers and to the dedicated students and parents who volunteer their time on behalf of the band and this program,” they said.

Participants can subscribe at any point in the year, and multiple flags may be purchased for $50 each. All proceeds directly benefit the nonprofit Cy-Falls Band program.
“This service is an opportunity to show your patriotism while supporting the Cy-Falls Golden Eagle Marching Band,” the Boosters emphasized. “Money earned helps enable the band to compete and perform at national, regional and local events.”
