Section 3301 Bar & Eats Opens in Spring, Bringing New Sports Bar Concept to Former Hero’s Bar & Grill on Louetta Road
For Spring residents who remember grabbing a burger, watching a football game or spending Friday nights with friends at Hero’s Bar & Grill, a familiar spot on Louetta Road is beginning a new chapter.
Section 3301 Bar & Eats has officially opened at 3301 Louetta Road in Spring, Texas, introducing a new neighborhood sports bar concept centered on food, drinks, live sports and the kind of atmosphere that makes regulars feel at home.
The establishment welcomed its first customers in early November and is currently operating under a soft opening period that runs through November 20, 2026. A grand opening celebration is scheduled for November 21–22, giving Spring-area residents another opportunity to check out the new business as the team settles into its operations.
Although the name and concept have changed, the location has a history that many longtime customers know well. For the people behind Section 3301, the goal is to build something new while recognizing the friendships and community connections established at the address over the years.
From Hero’s Bar & Grill to Section 3301: A Familiar Spring Location Gets a Fresh Start
Located at 3301 Louetta Road, Suite 204, Spring, TX 77388, Section 3301 Bar & Eats occupies the former home of Hero’s Bar & Grill, a neighborhood establishment known for its casual dining, sports viewing and social gatherings.
Hero’s offered a broad bar-and-grill menu that included burgers, chicken wings, street tacos, fried catfish, shrimp, sandwiches, nachos and appetizers. Its entertainment and dining traditions, including karaoke nights and sporting events, helped make the location familiar to area customers.
The transition has brought questions from former patrons about which traditions and menu favorites might continue. In social media discussions surrounding the change, customers have asked about Friday night karaoke, fried shrimp and the return of crawfish.
Section 3301 has described itself as an entirely new concept, rather than simply a renamed version of Hero’s. The new team has also publicly acknowledged the former owners, Steve and Alicia, and the work they put into building the establishment's reputation and community relationships.
That acknowledgment reflects an important part of the transition. While the business is moving in a different direction, the people who previously gathered there remain part of the location's story.
What to Expect at Section 3301 Bar & Eats in Spring
The new sports bar is being developed around a straightforward idea: a comfortable place where Spring neighbors can meet for a meal, enjoy a drink and watch their favorite teams together.
According to the business, its leadership team brings more than 30 years of combined experience in restaurants, bars, hospitality, entertainment, stadiums, arenas and sporting events. That background helped shape the Section 3301 concept, which draws inspiration from the experience of watching a game from a favorite seat in the stadium.
In introducing the business, the team explained its vision: "At Section 3301, we're building more than a sports bar. We're creating your neighborhood gathering place—where great food, cold drinks, unforgettable games, and even better company come together."
The name itself is a nod to that experience, with Section 3301 intended to represent a place where everyone can find their favorite seat, regardless of which team they support.
Football fans, fantasy sports enthusiasts, alumni cheering for their college teams and neighbors simply looking for somewhere to unwind are all part of the audience the new establishment hopes to welcome. The owners have also indicated plans for live entertainment, game-day events, food and drink promotions.
Food, Drinks and Game-Day Specials at Section 3301
Section 3301 Bar & Eats has introduced its soft opening menu, featuring a mix of sports bar favorites, creative appetizers, specialty cocktails and frozen desserts.
For those coming hungry, the menu includes bone-in and boneless wings with six sauce options, including Classic Buffalo, Nashville Hot Honey, Korean Gochujang, Garlic Parmesan, Spicy Peach and Sweet Chili BBQ.
Other options include the Blitz Burger, Grilled Chicken Club and Meatball Sub, along with appetizers such as Buffalo Cauliflower Bites, Meatball Skillet Bake, Pizza Nachos and Pizza Dough Beignets. Guests looking for something lighter can choose from the Field Goal Caesar Salad or Kickoff Chopped Salad, with the option to add grilled or fried chicken.
The dessert menu offers something a little different, featuring Gelu Italian Ice in flavors such as mango, strawberry, watermelon and green apple. Specialty treats include the Mangonada, made with mango Italian ice, chamoy, Tajín and peach gummy rings, and the Willy Wonka, which combines several Italian ice flavors with sour gummies.
Behind the bar, Section 3301 has developed a sports-themed cocktail lineup with names like Hail Mary, 2-Minute Warning, Sudden Death, Overtime, End Zone and Strike Out. The drink selection also includes The Shine Lineup, a collection of moonshine cocktails featuring Sugarlands Distilling Co. products, served over ice in mason jars. Beer drinkers can choose from bottled and canned domestic and imported favorites, including several Texas brands, while draft beer is listed as coming soon.
The business also introduced drink promotions during its opening day, with additional specials and updates expected as operations continue.
As Section 3301 settles into its new location on Louetta Road, the soft opening menu gives Spring residents an early look at the food and drink options available ahead of the November 21–22 grand opening weekend.
Spring Community Welcomed During Soft Opening Through November 20
For a newly opened restaurant or bar, the first few weeks often involve adjustments to service, staffing and everyday operations. Section 3301 has been open about that process, asking customers for patience and feedback during its November soft opening.
Following its first day of business, the team shared a message of appreciation with the Spring community: "From all of us at Section 3301 Bar & Eats, THANK YOU for showing up and showing us so much love on our opening day!"
The business described meeting new customers, welcoming familiar faces and beginning to establish the relationships it hopes will become the foundation of its neighborhood presence. The team also emphasized that feedback during the soft opening will help guide improvements before the grand opening weekend.
"Every visit, every smile, and every bit of feedback helps us become the neighborhood sports bar we envision!"
For residents who enjoy supporting locally operated restaurants and neighborhood businesses, the soft opening provides a chance to experience the new establishment while it continues fine-tuning its service.
Grand Opening Weekend Scheduled for November 21–22
Section 3301 Bar & Eats plans to celebrate its official grand opening on Saturday, November 21, and Sunday, November 22, 2026, following the conclusion of its soft opening period.
The weekend marks the next milestone for a business that has spent months preparing its new identity and introducing the concept to Spring residents.
For now, customers can visit during the soft opening to get acquainted with the team, enjoy food and drinks, and watch sporting events.

A New Chapter for a Longtime Louetta Road Gathering Place
Neighborhood bars and restaurants often become more than places to order dinner or catch a game. Over time, they become familiar meeting spots where friends celebrate birthdays, coworkers unwind after long shifts and longtime customers recognize one another across the room.
That is part of what makes the transition from Hero’s Bar & Grill to Section 3301 noteworthy for the Spring community.
While Section 3301 is bringing a fresh concept to the space, the team also recognizes the history of the former establishment and the longtime customers who helped make it a familiar gathering place in the Spring community.
Whether former Hero’s customers return to try the new concept or first-time visitors discover Section 3301 while looking for a sports bar along Louetta Road, the business now has an opportunity to establish its own identity.
For Spring residents, another local dining and entertainment option is now open. For the team behind Section 3301, the coming weeks will be an opportunity to turn an opening-day welcome into lasting neighborhood relationships.
