Saddle Up for Campfire Christmas at George Ranch Historical Park
Round up the family and get in the holiday spirit at George Ranch Historical Park on Saturday, December 16 for Campfire Christmas, a unique Christmas party, Texas-style.
Just on the other side of the Brazos River in Fort Bend County, George Ranch Historical Park is steeped in history as one of the oldest working ranches in Texas. Supported by a partnership with the Fort Bend History Association and The George Foundation, this living history site aims to preserve the original homestead and to share the four generational legacy of the Jones, Ryon, Davis and George Families dating back to 1824.
At Campfire Christmas, guests are invited to step back in time to 1944 and join Mamie and Albert George as they host a USO dinner and dance in the Ranch House yard. During the event, guests can explore the site at their leisure, visit the cowboys at the campfire, enjoy a tour of the Ranch House decorated for the season, and dance or listen to live music from the era. The evening includes a rustic buffet-style meal and live music by Creole Swing.
Attendees must purchase a ticket in advance to attend Campfire Christmas. Tickets are $60 per adult and $45 per child aged 12 and under. Reservations are available at 5:30 PM or 7:30 PM. For more information about Campfire Christmas and to RSVP, visit georgeranch.org/campfire-christmas.
