However, rue 21 has found a new lease on life under the ownership and management of YM, Inc., a Canadian apparel retailer behind reputable brands like Aeropostale and Charlotte Russe. YM, Inc. bought rue 21 in June, aiming to resurrect the beleaguered brand and reopen stores across the United States.

The Katy Mills store adds to the list of approximately 55 rue 21 stores in Texas and more than 550 across the United States.
