Rodeo Duds for a Cause: The Hope Chest in Cypress
As every single Houstonian knows, it's Rodeo time! The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is the largest livestock exhibition and rodeo in the world but best of all, HLSR is rooted in supporting Texas youth, committing more than $575 million to Texas youth and education since its inception in 1932. From livestock show events to the carnival, rodeo events to the Rodeo Run, and much more, there are so many ways to enjoy the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
One of the most fun ways to participate in this highly-anticipated event is by dressing up in your favorite Rodeo duds. While most Houstonians love to display their Texan pride by dressing the part in their finest western wear, such attire can get pricey and might not be an economical fashion choice for those who don't dress in western wear often. It's also fun to mix it up and throw in something new for a change like a new turquoise necklace, a fresh pair of boots to replace your worn-out kicks, or a trendy pair of distressed denim jeans.
Within a 25,000 SF warehouse space, The Hope Chest breaks the mold of a traditional resale store with high quality, designer clothing, furnishings, home goods, toys, furniture, outdoor equipment and more. The Hope Chest is open Monday, Thursday and Friday from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM, Tuesday and Wednesday from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM and Saturday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Located at 12015 Barker Cypress Road in Cypress, The Hope Chest is conveniently situated off of US 290 and Barker Cypress.
To keep the clothing racks and shelves stocked with merchandise, The Hope Chest accepts gently used donations from members of the community. Donations are accepted Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and Saturday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. For a full listing of accepted items, please visit this website. The Hope Chest can also arrange for pickup of large items from your location.
