REMINDER: Hearthstone HOA Announces November 18 Annual Meeting, 2027 Assessment Rate and Petition to Address Overnight Commercial Vehicle Parking
Hearthstone residents have several important neighborhood updates to consider this fall, including good news for household budgets, an opportunity to address overnight commercial vehicle parking and the upcoming Hearthstone Homeowners Association (HOA) Annual Meeting on Wednesday, November 18, 2026.
The annual gathering at Hearthstone Country Club will give homeowners an opportunity to stay informed about their community, participate in neighborhood matters and connect with fellow residents. This year's meeting also comes with confirmation that the 2027 HOA assessment will remain at $528, with no increase from the current rate.
Another important item involves a petition seeking Harris County's assistance in restricting overnight parking of commercial motor vehicles on Hearthstone's residential streets. The HOA is asking residents to participate in the effort, which requires signatures from at least 25% of the subdivision's residents or tenants.
Hearthstone HOA Annual Meeting Scheduled for November 18
The Hearthstone Homeowners Association will hold its 2026 Annual Meeting on Wednesday, November 18, at Hearthstone Country Club.
Meeting Details
- Date: Wednesday, November 18, 2026
- Location: Hearthstone Country Club
- Sign-in: 6:00 p.m.
- Meeting begins: 6:30 p.m.
- Resident incentive: Attendees will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win one of four gift cards.
The annual meeting offers residents an opportunity to remain involved in decisions and discussions affecting Hearthstone. Whether homeowners have lived in the neighborhood for decades or recently moved into the community, participation helps keep residents informed about matters that affect their shared surroundings.
The HOA's annual meeting mailout is expected to go into production during the week of October 19, providing residents with additional information ahead of the November gathering.
No Increase in Hearthstone HOA Assessments for 2027
One update homeowners can already count on is that the Hearthstone HOA assessment rate will remain unchanged at $528 for 2027.
With household expenses continuing to be an important consideration for many families, maintaining the existing assessment rate provides homeowners with some predictability as they prepare their budgets for the coming year.
The announcement means residents will not see an increase in the HOA assessment rate for 2027.
HOA Seeks Resident Signatures to Restrict Overnight Commercial Vehicle Parking
Alongside the annual meeting announcement, the Hearthstone HOA is asking residents to support a petition requesting that Harris County install signs prohibiting overnight parking of commercial motor vehicles on neighborhood streets.
According to a letter dated October 15, 2026, from the Hearthstone HOA President, overnight parking of large commercial vehicles has become a growing concern among neighbors, particularly regarding roadway safety, neighborhood appearance and property values.
The petition requests action by Harris County Commissioners Court under Texas Transportation Code §545.307, a provision originally enabled by House Bill 327.
The proposed signage would prohibit commercial motor vehicles from parking on subdivision streets between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.
For residents who have encountered large commercial vehicles parked along neighborhood streets overnight, the petition provides a formal way to request county action.
How Hearthstone Residents Can Sign the Commercial Vehicle Parking Petition
The HOA must collect signatures from at least 25% of Hearthstone residents or tenants to meet the petition requirement outlined in its notice.
To participate, residents must be at least 18 years old and own or rent a residence within the Hearthstone subdivision. Only one signature per household is permitted.
The petition requires each participating resident to provide their full printed name, Hearthstone property address, date of birth, signature and date of signing.
Completed forms should be returned using the envelope provided with the HOA mailout. Residents may also send their forms to:
Katy, TX 77449
The HOA is encouraging residents to return their petitions as soon as possible, preferably before or at the November 18 Annual Meeting. Once the required signatures are collected, the Board intends to submit the petition to the Harris County Precinct 3 Commissioner's Office.
The petition does not mean the parking restrictions have already been implemented. County action and installation of the appropriate signage would still be necessary.
What Hearthstone Residents Should Know Before the Annual Meeting
With the November 18 meeting approaching, homeowners can watch for their HOA mailout, review the commercial vehicle parking petition and decide whether they would like to participate.
Residents interested in the proposed parking restrictions are encouraged to complete and return their petition forms promptly so their signatures can be included in the HOA's submission.
Those planning to attend the annual meeting should arrive at Hearthstone Country Club beginning at 6:00 p.m. for sign-in, with the meeting scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. Attendees will also have a chance to win one of four gift cards.
