Champions Park Stars Swim Team Registration Event Rescheduled for April 12 at Champions Park Clubhouse
As spring approaches in northwest Houston, families in Champions Park are already beginning to think about one of the neighborhood’s most anticipated summer traditions — the Champions Park Stars Swim Team.
The community swim team will officially kick off the upcoming season with a registration event on Sunday, April 12 from 3:00–5:00 p.m. at the Champions Park Clubhouse, located at 13635 Champions Park Drive in Houston. Note that this is a rescheduled date from the original March 29. The gathering offers families an opportunity to learn about the team, meet coaches and volunteers, and register swimmers for the upcoming season.
For many residents, the summer swim team represents more than just competition. It is a longstanding neighborhood activity where children build confidence in the water while forming friendships that often last beyond the swim season.
Organizers are encouraging Champions Park residents to attend — and to share the event with friends and families in nearby neighborhoods who may be interested in joining the team.
A Neighborhood Swim Team That Welcomes the Community
The Champions Park Stars Swim Team serves as the official summer league swim team for the Champions Park community in northwest Houston. The team competes in the B3 Division of the Northwest Aquatic League (NWAL) and hosts practices and home meets at the Champions Park HOA pool.
While the team proudly represents Champions Park, its doors are open to swimmers from surrounding areas as well. Under NWAL guidelines, swimmers from neighborhoods without their own swim teams — or those whose teams grant permission — are welcome to participate.
This inclusive approach allows more young athletes to experience summer league swimming, even if their neighborhood does not have a program of its own.
The team welcomes swimmers ages 4 through 18, offering a structured yet supportive environment where young athletes can stay active, improve their swimming technique, and enjoy the camaraderie of a team setting.
Registration Now Open for 2026 Champions Park Stars Swim Season
Registration for the 2026 Champions Park Stars Swim Team season is now officially open, giving families the opportunity to secure their swimmer’s spot ahead of the upcoming summer schedule.
Those planning to participate are encouraged to register early, either in advance or during the April 12 event, as the team prepares for another active and well-attended season.

- Register swimmers for the 2026 Champions Park Stars season
- Meet the swim coaches and leadership team
- Connect with other Champions Park swim families
- Learn about volunteer opportunities

Volunteer participation is an important part of neighborhood swim teams, and organizers note that one volunteer per family is strongly encouraged to help support meets and team activities throughout the season.

What the Summer Swim Season Looks Like
The Champions Park Stars swim season typically runs from mid-April through the end of June, offering a full schedule of practices and friendly competition.
Swimmers participate in weekday practices at the Champions Park pool to develop their strokes and build endurance, while Saturday swim meets bring families together for competitions against other teams within the Northwest Aquatic League.
For many local families, these weekend meets quickly become community gatherings filled with cheering parents, team spirit, and neighborhood pride.
Building Confidence, Friendships, and Community
Programs like the Champions Park Stars often play a meaningful role in neighborhood life. Summer league swimming introduces children to healthy competition while helping them develop water safety skills and confidence.
At the same time, the team environment fosters friendships among swimmers and creates opportunities for parents to connect and collaborate as volunteers and supporters.
For new families moving into the Champions Park area, joining the swim team is often one of the easiest ways to become connected to the community.
Forward This to a Neighbor Who Might Be Interested
Organizers encourage residents to share the registration event with friends in nearby neighborhoods who may be looking for a summer swim team for their children.
Because the team welcomes swimmers whose communities do not have their own programs, the Champions Park Stars often include athletes from surrounding areas across northwest Houston.
