Recycle Your Christmas Tree with City of Katy

The City of Katy Public Works Department will be picking up and recycling live Christmas trees again this year. If you have a live Christmas tree, we encourage you to recycle it after the holiday and we are here to help! To accommodate residents in disposing of their trees, we have scheduled the pick-up days. There will now be a first and second round of dates for collection:
- The first pick-up will begin on Wednesday, December 27th to Friday, December 29th
- The second pick-up will begin Monday, January 8th to Wednesday, January 10th
On these days, make sure your tree is placed at the curb by 8 AM. The trees must have all decorations, ornaments, tinsel, lights and stands removed to be recycled. Flocked trees and/or artificial trees cannot be recycled.
If you are not able to recycle your trees during our collection days, alternate locations for tree recycling are:
