Reach Unlimited's Reach for the Stars Luncheon Draws Support from Cy-Fair Women's Club, Community

A group of Cy-Fair Women’s Club members, spouses, and neighbors attended the annual Reach for the Stars Luncheon on Friday, October 7th. Many were new and others have attended in the past.
The Reach for the Stars Luncheon is the annual fundraiser for Reach Unlimited. It is much more than a fundraiser. It is an opportunity to briefly learn about Reach Unlimited, an organization in our own community which provides services and assists the intellectually and developmentally disabled. Always bring Kleenex - you will not only be informed, but your heart will also be touched by these amazing members.
The members were center stage for luncheon with the assistance of staff members. Two members had a conversation with the Executive Director about how the services have helped them from participating in household responsibilities to working a job in the community to helping in the community. They also expressed their future goals. The presentation included a video with members talking about Reach, how it has helped them, limited government services, and the need for donor assistance. The Reach Unlimited choir entertained the attendees with two songs. Another member closed the luncheon with different ways the attendees could help Reach financially.
CONNECTIONS
The Cy-Fair Women’s Club connects with the non-profits in the area to learn about their organization and how we can help through service or financially. This is part of our mission “Bringing Women Together to Better Our Community.”
