Precinct 4 Now Offering Summer Movie Nights En Español and With Subtitles

Free Movie Lineup Benefits Spanish-Speaking Deaf, And Hard-of-Hearing Residents

 
Harris County Precinct 4 is proud to expand its popular Summer Movie Nights program for the enjoyment of its Spanish-speaking, deaf, and hard-of-hearing residents.
 
The free outdoor movie lineup now includes Spanish-language showings of Frozen on Thursday, July 14, at Reginald Moore Park and Monsters, Inc. on Tuesday, August 2, at Monsignor Bill Pickard Park
 
English-language films will also be available on the following dates: 
 
July – Frozen
Monday, July 11 – Ray Miller Park
Tuesday, July 12 – Freed Park
Wednesday, July 13 – Mary Jo Peckham Park
Friday, July 15 – Hockley Recreational Complex
 
August – Monsters, Inc.
Wednesday, Aug. 3 – Zube Park, pavilion 2
Thursday, Aug. 4 – George Bush Park, pavilion 3
 
All movies in English and Spanish will include subtitles for the benefit of deaf and hard-of-hearing residents.
 
"We're excited to bring Summer Movie Nights to more residents," said Commissioner R. Jack Cagle. "Events like this create a sense of community and give residents new reasons to visit their local parks."
 
Harris County Precinct 4's annual Summer Movie Nights program has provided family-friendly movies on the big screen at Precinct 4 parks since 2016. This year marks the first time that Spanish-language films and subtitles will be available. 
 
Residents should bring blankets, chairs, and snacks. Each movie includes a children's craft beginning at 7 p.m. Popcorn is free, and snow cones are available for purchase.
