Pool Reopens at Lakes on Eldridge After Fence Variance Approval
After a brief but unexpected closure that left many residents disappointed, the pool at Lakes on Eldridge is once again open and ready for swimmers—thanks to a variance secured by community leaders and a prompt reinspection by the Health Department.
As of this week, residents can return to their favorite summertime gathering spot following the Health Inspector's approval of a temporary solution to address fencing code concerns.
“We’re thrilled to share that the pool has officially reopened,” confirmed Angela Morin, onsite Community Manager for Lakes on Eldridge. “The variance was approved, and after a successful follow-up inspection, we’re back in business—just in time for the holiday weekend.”
The pool was temporarily shut down earlier this month when a Health Inspector flagged fencing issues that did not meet updated safety code requirements. While the closure came as a surprise during one of Houston’s hottest stretches of summer, Morin and the HOA team worked swiftly behind the scenes to resolve the issue and minimize disruption.

By securing a variance, the community was granted short-term flexibility under the applicable local health code. This allowed the team to refile for inspection and fast-track reopening while planning for a long-term fencing solution.
For Lakes on Eldridge families, the reopening couldn’t have come at a better time.
With Labor Day weekend right around the corner, the pool’s return means residents can enjoy one last splash of summer—whether it’s relaxing by the water, spending time with neighbors, or giving kids one more chance to burn off some back-to-school energy.
