PMI Values Your Casa: Redefining Community Management in Cypress
A local power couple is spearheading a new wave of community management in the Cypress area. Owned and operated by Gabriel A. Cristain, a veteran with 20 years of military service and his wife Brittany, a cybersecurity engineer and risk management expert, this dynamic duo behind PMI Values Your Casa is on a mission to reshape and elevate the community management industry.
Gabriel, the Principal Operator, driven by a desire for entrepreneurship and a passion for service, launched PMI Values Your Casa on October 16, 2023. "We understand what it means to serve and we wanted to give back to our community," he says, reflecting on his inspiration. "The community management industry plays a key role in promoting the greater good, and we aim to educate and inform community leaders and homeowners about this to spark positive change."
With a military background in space operations, a Master of Science in Space Operations, and a Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) Certification among his many credentials, Gabriel brings a wealth of experience to PMI Values Your Casa. Alongside him, Brittany, with an MBA in Project Management and a Risk Management/Compliance Management Certification, keeps track of business operations and manages the customer relations aspect.
Their combined expertise sets PMI Values Your Casa apart from other community management companies, with a strong focus on effective communication, honesty, integrity, and customer service. "Our core values and brand promise make us unique," Gabriel explains. "We are committed to daily communication; no correspondence goes un-responded."
As a company, PMI Values Your Casa is working to address common issues in the industry such as lack of communication and understanding of association governing documents. Gabriel’s vision is to leverage the increasing prevalence of Home Owners Associations (HOAs) to support improved home values. "HOAs are becoming more common," he notes, "Having a well-managed HOA supports increased home values."
On a more personal level, the Cristains chose to put down roots in Cypress after Gabriel's military service due to the warm climate, excellent schools, and proximity to family. When they're not overseeing business operations, they love spending time with their three children and their husky, enjoying bike rides, movie nights, and dining out at local restaurants.
In the immediate term, PMI Values Your Casa is looking to expand their team of professional community managers, with a long-term aim to be among the top three community management companies in Houston. PMI Values Your Casa is not only about business growth, but also community engagement. As active members of the Cy-Fair Houston Chamber of Commerce, the Community Association Institute and the Business Network Institute (BNI) Cypress, they also aspire to support local Habitat for Humanity projects and school district events in the future.
As they chart the path forward, their commitment to their community remains steadfast. "We're not just here to manage communities," Gabriel says. "We're here to make them better."
