Pickleball Social Cypress Set to Open by Early June, Offering Indoor and Outdoor Courts for All Ages
Anticipation is growing in northwest Houston as Pickleball Social Cypress, a dedicated indoor-outdoor pickleball and lifestyle venue, nears completion at 15819 Tuckerton Rd., Houston, TX 77095—just minutes from Cy-Falls High School. Originally expected to wrap up construction in early February, the opening has been delayed. However, momentum is back on track.
In a May 6 update, Bruno Ortega, Grand Pickleball Director for Pickleball Social, confirmed, “At this moment it looks like [we will open] the last week of May to the 2nd week of June.” While a firm launch date is still forthcoming, Ortega added "we do not have a set date just yet."
This new Cypress venue will be the second Pickleball Social location in the Houston area, joining the original facility that opened near Memorial City in August 2023. A third site is also on the horizon in San Antonio at The RIM, signaling continued regional growth of the sport and brand.

Family-Friendly Amenities and Affordable Access
Once open, Pickleball Social Cypress will offer seven indoor courts and six outdoor courts, allowing players to enjoy the sport rain or shine. The venue has been thoughtfully designed for community connection and multi-generational appeal. Ortega detailed the recreational layout, highlighting four social areas: “One turf area near the bar, one kids area outside, one adult area outside, and a large deck space by the outside bar.”
The Cypress location is designed to be welcoming for all ages, and furry friends are also welcome. With a food truck, full bar, and spacious areas for relaxing and socializing, the venue offers a lively atmosphere for both players and guests. Catering is available for private events, and while outside food, drinks, and coolers aren’t permitted, everything needed for a great time is provided onsite.
Open Play is priced at just $10 per player, available both in the morning and evening, and typically doesn’t require a reservation unless otherwise noted on the facility’s calendar. Court rentals are offered at $25 per hour, per court on weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., catering to both casual and competitive players. Equipment rentals are budget-friendly, too—paddles are available for $6 each, and pickleballs are for sale.
Lessons, Clinics, and Community Spirit
Whether you're picking up a paddle for the first time or fine-tuning your game, Pickleball Social offers group clinics, semi-private, and private lessons. The goal is to create a space where both beginners and seasoned players can thrive.
The brand’s roots are grounded in friendship and family. “Two of the three founders are Mexican, and one is from El Salvador,” Ortega shared. “We all met in San Antonio 30 years ago and now the three of us live in Houston. Pickleball was introduced to us and it was a perfect match. We are family men and our families enjoy Pickleball Social.”
