AC Hotel by Marriott Breaks Ground at CityCentre Houston, Adding New Hospitality Option to West Houston

For residents, business travelers, and visitors who regularly spend time in CityCentre, a new hotel is officially on the way.

Construction has begun on the AC Hotel by Marriott CityCentre Houston, a six-story, 153-room hotel planned for 10752 Town and Country Way. The project marks the latest addition to CityCentre’s growing mix of dining, entertainment, office, residential, and hospitality offerings, further expanding accommodations within one of West Houston’s most active mixed-use districts.

The $19 million development is being led by PA Hospitality, with Anchor Construction serving as general contractor and DLR Group providing architectural design. Project completion is anticipated in late 2027.

Expanding Hospitality Options in One of West Houston's Most Active Destinations

Over the past two decades, CityCentre has evolved into a regional destination that attracts visitors from across Greater Houston. Developed on the former Town & Country Mall site, the district today includes office towers, apartments, hotels, restaurants, entertainment venues, retail shops, public gathering spaces, and frequent community events.

Located along the Interstate 10 corridor near Beltway 8, CityCentre has become a hub for business meetings, corporate offices, weekend outings, and special events. Existing hospitality offerings include The Moran CityCentre, which serves travelers visiting the Energy Corridor, Memorial area, and West Houston business districts.

The addition of the AC Hotel by Marriott is expected to increase lodging capacity while offering another option for guests seeking accommodations within walking distance of CityCentre's restaurants, shops, and entertainment venues.

The hotel will encompass approximately 85,810 square feet and feature amenities designed for both business and leisure travelers, including:

  • 153 guest rooms
  • Outdoor pool
  • Fitness center
  • Bar and lounge space
  • Meeting and event facilities
  • Contemporary guest accommodations

The AC Hotels by Marriott brand is known for its European-inspired design approach, emphasizing modern architecture, streamlined guest experiences, and flexible spaces for work and social gatherings.

Meeting Demand in a Growing Area

Project representatives say the development is intended to help meet continued demand for accommodations in one of Houston's most visited mixed-use districts.

"CityCentre has become one of Houston's premier destinations to live, work, and gather," said a representative of PA Hospitality. "We saw an opportunity to bring a hospitality product that complements the energy already here while meeting growing demand for high-quality accommodations in the area."

As West Houston continues to attract new employers, visitors, conferences, and entertainment events, hospitality development has remained an important component of supporting the area's economic activity.

Construction Underway

Anchor Construction, a Texas-based general contractor with experience in hospitality, multifamily, retail, industrial, and commercial projects, has been involved with the project since the preconstruction phase.

"Projects like this require precision from day one," said Brock Bly, President of Anchor Construction. "From preconstruction through execution, our focus is delivering a project that meets the ownership vision, brand standards, and long-term expectations for quality."

According to the company, preconstruction efforts included budgeting, scheduling, logistics coordination, and constructability planning before work began on site.

With groundbreaking now complete, construction activity is expected to increase throughout the coming months as the hotel begins taking shape within the CityCentre district.

What It Means for West Houston

While the project is primarily aimed at serving visitors, it also represents continued investment in one of West Houston's most established mixed-use destinations.

For nearby residents, the development adds another hospitality option for visiting family members, business guests, and event attendees. For CityCentre businesses and restaurants, additional hotel rooms can help support customer traffic and extend visitor stays within the district.

As construction progresses toward its anticipated late-2027 completion, the AC Hotel by Marriott CityCentre Houston will become the latest addition to a destination that continues to serve as a gathering place for residents, professionals, and visitors throughout West Houston.
