PICKLEBALL ANYONE?
What’s Pickleball?  It is one of the nation's fastest growing sports that combines many of the elements of tennis, badminton, and ping pong.  Last March, two pickleball courts were added to one of our neighborhood tennis courts and are now available for use.  You will find the pickleball courts on the tennis court farthest from Hoyt.  Portable pickleball nets are also provided and are stored along the east fence when pickleball is not being played.  This court is a multi-purpose court which can also be used for tennis and pickleball.  If you are interested in learning more about the game, follow this link https://usapickleball.org/what-is-pickleball/.  Paddles and balls can be purchased from our neighboring sporting goods stores or from various online retailers.

Association members who are interested in playing pickleball within our neighborhood or if you already play, you are encouraged to join the Williamsburg Settlement Pickle-ballers Facebook page.  This page is used to promote this activity, find others who may be interested in playing, learn more about the game and share your pickleball stories and experiences.  Free Pickleball Clinics are offered through this page as well.  Currently, Association members are encouraged to play pickleball on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 7 pm. so that we can get to know one another.  We hope to find enough people to offer designated times and dates to play during the early morning hours, especially as the summer heat sets in. Here are four enthusiasts anxious to have you join them! From left to right, Billy Cooke, Eric Boyd, Pam Boyd, and Marsha Cooke.
