Pecan Harvest Festival Returns to Historic Downtown Richmond for a Day of Family Fun and Community Spirit
The beloved Pecan Harvest Festival is set to return to Historic Downtown Richmond, Texas on Saturday, November 23rd, 2024. This annual event celebrates the rich agricultural heritage of Fort Bend County, offering a day filled with local flavors, live entertainment, and family-friendly activities.
From 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Morton Street will come alive with a vibrant lineup of events and attractions for festival-goers of all ages. The Pecan Harvest Festival is free to attend, making it an accessible event for everyone in the community. Visitors can explore a variety of vendors, including artisans, farmers market stands, and general merchants, all offering a range of products. Pecans, an iconic local crop, will take center stage, with vendors such as Bagley Pecans providing fresh pecans for sale, along with pecan-inspired treats like pecan brittle, chocolate-covered pecans, and even pecan wood serving trays.
Live music will fill the air, with performances from the Steel Country Band throughout the day, creating a festive atmosphere. In addition to the music, attendees can enjoy a range of activities, including a Pecan Bake-Off contest, which showcases the community's culinary talents and creativity using the beloved nut. Families with children can also take part in various kids' activities, ensuring fun for all ages.

The Rotary Club of Richmond plays an integral role in organizing the event, with proceeds going toward supporting local charitable programs, student scholarships, and Rotary service initiatives like PolioPlus through The Rotary Foundation.
