Parkway Fellowship Church Celebrates Groundbreaking for New North Katy Location

November 20 2023

Parkway Fellowship Church celebrated the groundbreaking of its future North Katy location on Sunday, November 19. The church, currently operating from a leased facility, secured 14 acres at the corner of Morton Road and Katy Hockley through community support in 2023. The land was purchased from two prominent Katy families, the Scroggins and the Gordens, each with a rich history in the area.

The new location will feature a state-of-the-art adult worship center, facilities for children of all ages, a chapel, small group gathering areas, and an outdoor space for family recreation. Pastor Adam Jungeblut sees the groundbreaking as a crucial step toward reaching more families in the Katy community, with thousands already positively impacted by Parkway Fellowship since its inception in 2003.

Parkway Fellowship, ranked as the 38th fastest-growing church in the nation in 2023, traces its roots to humble beginnings at Cinco Ranch High School in 2003. With a permanent location established in Richmond in 2010 and a second location in Katy in 2014, the church has become an integral part of the community. Congregants have generously contributed over $3 million to support local and global causes, collaborating with charities like Family Hope, Katy Christian Ministries, Keturah’s Haven, and Young Life.

Notably, Parkway Fellowship actively participates in community initiatives, including the “Second Saturday” food distribution event providing sustenance to 550 families monthly. Terry McGuire, Small Groups Pastor, invites all interested individuals to join in supporting families facing food insecurity in the area.
