Why It Matters
By bringing your dog to The Dog Wash, you’re doing more than just keeping your pup clean—you’re investing in the future of local veterinary professionals.
The MCTC Veterinary Medicine Program is a standout part of Katy ISD’s career and technical education offerings. Students receive hands-on training in areas such as animal handling, grooming, client communication, and facility operations. The experience they gain by participating in The Dog Wash mirrors real-world veterinary support roles, helping prepare them for further education and professional careers in animal health.
The Dog Wash is one of several student-run services at MCTC that provide critical career exposure while also giving back to the community. And for many of the Vet Med students, these appointments are their first experiences working directly with the public in a pet care setting—an invaluable stepping stone toward future success.
A Community Effort with Tail Wags
Community support plays a vital role in these students’ learning journeys. By booking an appointment at The Dog Wash, you’re not only getting a fresh-smelling, well-groomed pet—you’re helping train the next generation of veterinary professionals right here in Katy.
For curbside drop-off instructions, maps, and more, visit the Miller Dog Wash sign posted outside the facility during your scheduled time. When you arrive, simply call the number listed on the sign for pick-up and drop-off assistance.
Whether your pup needs a quick nail trim or the full deluxe treatment, The Dog Wash at Miller is ready to serve—one tail wag at a time.
