OfficeMax Donation Drive Gives Katy Area Families an Easy Way to Support Teachers and Students Before School Starts
As back-to-school season approaches, Katy area residents have a simple opportunity to make a direct impact on local classrooms—one box of paper at a time.
OfficeMax on Westheimer Parkway near LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch is currently collecting paper donations for Cimarron Elementary School, helping ensure teachers and students have access to a classroom essential that gets used every day for assignments, projects, handouts, testing materials, and school communications.
The process is straightforward: residents can visit the store, purchase a box of copy paper—or several, if they choose—and OfficeMax will place the donation on a dedicated pallet reserved specifically for Cimarron Elementary. Donors will also be recognized on a special “Cimarron Elementary Benefactors” wall at the store.
While school supply drives often focus on backpacks, crayons, and notebooks, paper remains one of the most frequently used resources in elementary classrooms. Contributions from the community can help stretch campus budgets and ensure teachers have the materials they need to support student learning throughout the school year.
For families looking for a meaningful way to support their neighborhood school, the donation drive offers an easy opportunity to invest directly in the success of Cimarron students and educators.
Whether it's one box or several, every donation helps build a stronger support system for a school that serves hundreds of local children and families.
How to Participate
Residents can visit OfficeMax located at 23610 Westheimer Pkwy, Katy, TX 77494, purchase copy paper, and ask that it be donated to the Cimarron Elementary collection. Store staff will place the paper on the school's designated donation pallet and add donors to the Cimarron Elementary Benefactors recognition wall.
Why It Matters
Strong schools are built not only by teachers and staff, but also by communities that step up to support them. As a Title I school, Cimarron Elementary serves a student population that qualifies for additional federal assistance based on family income levels. While those funds help support educational programs and student services, community contributions can provide valuable classroom resources that teachers use every day.
This donation drive gives Katy area residents a simple way to support local students, invest in neighborhood schools, and help ensure classrooms are equipped for a successful school year. In a community where many families have longstanding ties to the campus, even a small donation can make a meaningful difference.
