Night Nation Run Brings High-Energy Running Music Festival to Houston’s Sam Houston Race Park
The Night Nation Run, the world’s first running music festival, is set to illuminate Houston on September 20, 2025, at Sam Houston Race Park. This one-of-a-kind event blends a 5K fun run with a high-energy music festival, featuring live DJs, light shows, neon and black lights, and immersive party zones. Participants will enjoy an interactive, music-fueled experience both along the course and at the epic main stage after-party.
A Unique Blend of Fitness and Music
The Night Nation Run was co-founded by Frank Brown in 2014 as a way to merge entertainment with an active lifestyle. Brown, an entrepreneur based in San Diego County, California, has also co-founded Upper Deck Golf, which offers exclusive golfing experiences in iconic stadiums, and I Run 4 Movement, an organization that creates virtual fitness challenges. His vision for Night Nation Run has led to over 1 million participants worldwide, uniting runners and music lovers in a celebration of movement and sound.
This year, Houston will join the movement as thousands of participants gear up for an unforgettable night at Sam Houston Race Park, located at 7575 North Sam Houston Pkwy W, Gate 3, Houston, TX 77064. The event offers a unique opportunity to run both inside and outside the stadium, with designated selfie stations allowing participants to see themselves on the stadium’s video board.

What to Expect at Night Nation Run Houston
The event schedule promises a night full of energy and excitement:

5:00 PM – Gates Open: Participants who attended pre-packet pickup do not need to check in. Arriving early allows time to enjoy the atmosphere before the race begins.

6:00 PM – Pre-Party Begins: A live DJ will kick off the festivities, setting the tone for an electrifying night. Attendees are encouraged to dance and warm up before the run.

7:30 PM – First Wave Starts: Runners will take off in waves every few minutes, experiencing multiple party zones with live DJs, dancers, light shows, selfie stations, and glow gear giveaways along the route.

Main Stage After-Party: After crossing the finish line, the real party begins. A headliner DJ will take the stage, with fog, cryo, confetti, lights, and giveaways creating an unforgettable celebration.
