New School of Rock Location Takes the Stage in West Houston
A new act is coming to West Houston as School of Rock, the internationally acclaimed leader in performance-based music education, has unveiled its latest location, according to a recent press release. With more than 360 schools spanning 15 global markets, School of Rock continues its rhythm of success, this time in tune with the vibrant West Houston community.
At the helm of the West Houston location is Trevor Luthy, a seasoned musician. Backed by supportive family and friends, his deep-seated passion for music and the Houston locale made the decision to open another Texas-based School of Rock an easy one. Following the hit performance of their first school in Pearland, the team is ready for an encore in West Houston, celebrating the new location's grand opening on April 21, 2024.
“As a full-time musician seeking a spark in my career, I found that I gained much more than I anticipated through School of Rock,” Luthy said. “This journey, from instructor to Music Director, and then becoming part owner and General Manager of multiple locations, has been incredibly rewarding. Now, watching my two kids thrive in the program, I wouldn’t change it for the world.”
School of Rock offers a unique and captivating musical learning experience for students of all ages. Students can explore bass, guitar, singing, drum, and piano lessons, learning theory and techniques through classic songs from legendary artists like Aretha Franklin, Lenny Kravitz, and Led Zeppelin. The performance-based approach has helped students around the world gain superior musical proficiency, some even securing record deals and appearances on platforms such as American Idol and Broadway.
