New Chick-fil-A Opens at Grand Parkway and Tomball Parkway, Bringing Jobs, Community Investment and Opening Day Fun to Tomball
Residents in the Tomball area have a new dining option as Chick-fil-A officially opened its newest restaurant in The Grand at 249 at 25527 Tomball Parkway, Tomball, TX 77375, on Thursday, June 25, adding another locally operated location to one of the fastest-growing commercial corridors in northwest Harris County.
The opening drew a steady crowd throughout the morning, including representatives from Harris County Precinct 3, the Greater Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce and other local leaders who stopped by to welcome the restaurant to the community.
The new Chick-fil-A Grand Pkwy at Tomball Pkwy is expected to provide convenient access for residents, commuters and families traveling along Tomball Parkway (State Highway 249) and the Grand Parkway (SH 99), while also creating additional employment opportunities and expanding the brand's community partnerships in the Tomball area.
For many local residents, the opening also means a familiar face is leading the restaurant. Local Owner-Operator Cindy Smith, who has operated the Chick-fil-A at 21622 State Highway 249 (249 at Jones Road) since 2022, has been selected to lead the new Tomball location as well.
A Local Owner Continues Investing in the Tomball Community
Smith's journey with Chick-fil-A began while she was still in high school, when she worked as a Team Member and discovered a passion for hospitality and serving others. After graduating from college and gaining additional restaurant industry experience, she returned to Chick-fil-A with the goal of becoming an Owner-Operator.
Following more than a decade of leadership development, she was selected to operate Chick-fil-A 249 at Jones Road in 2022. She will now oversee both restaurants, although the Jones Road location is temporarily closed while it undergoes a complete rebuild. That restaurant is expected to reopen in December 2026, pending construction schedules.
"I've always been inspired by the strong sense of connection throughout the Tomball community, and I'm grateful to be a part of it," Smith said. "One of the most rewarding parts of being a local Owner-Operator is helping people grow and succeed. This new restaurant gives us the opportunity to invest in even more Team Members and deepen our impact in the community."
As Tomball continues to experience residential and commercial growth, the addition of another Chick-fil-A restaurant is expected to help meet increasing demand while creating new jobs and leadership opportunities for local Team Members.
Opening Day Features the Return of Chick-fil-A's Popular Cow Celebration
To mark the restaurant's grand opening, Chick-fil-A invited the community to participate in a Moove-In Party on opening day.
Guests of all ages who arrived wearing cow-themed clothing—from full cow costumes to simple cow-print accessories—received one complimentary entrée or kid's meal, available both inside the restaurant and through the drive-thru while supplies lasted.
Breakfast options included a Chick-fil-A Chicken Biscuit, Egg White Grill or four-count Chick-n-Minis. Lunch and dinner selections include the Original Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich, Spicy Chicken Sandwich, eight-count Nuggets, eight-count Grilled Nuggets or a five-count Nugget Kid's Meal.
Dining Options Designed for Convenience
The new Tomball restaurant offers several ways for customers to order, including:
- Dine-in
- Drive-thru
- Carry-out
- Mobile Thru
- Third-party delivery
The restaurant is open Monday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Supporting the Tomball Community Beyond the Restaurant
In addition to creating jobs, the restaurant's opening includes several community-focused initiatives.
To celebrate the new location, Chick-fil-A, Inc. is donating $25,000 to Feeding America, with the funds supporting local hunger relief efforts through the Houston Food Bank, a Feeding America partner.
The restaurant will also participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, which redirects surplus food to local nonprofit organizations instead of allowing it to go to waste. Nationwide, the program has helped provide the equivalent of more than 42 million meals.
Additionally, the restaurant has continued its ongoing support of Cypress Assistance Ministries (CAM), a nonprofit organization that provides food, housing assistance, job training and other critical services to individuals and families in need throughout the Cypress and northwest Harris County area. CAM also operates the Angels' Attic Resale Store, which helps fund its programs and services.
Just last week, Chick-fil-A Team Members were on-site volunteering in the organization's donation center, according to CAM. The nonprofit also highlighted the restaurant's consistent support and involvement, calling it a testament to the values the team upholds in serving the community and making a meaningful difference.
Smith said she hopes the second restaurant will strengthen Chick-fil-A's long-standing commitment to serving both customers and the surrounding community.
Continuing Growth Along the SH 249 and Grand Parkway Corridor
The restaurant joins a growing list of businesses now open at The Grand at 249, a 65-acre development that is still under construction at the intersection of SH 249 and SH 99. Several national retailers and restaurants have already opened, while additional buildings and tenant spaces remain under development as the project continues to expand.
As Tomball continues to welcome new businesses and investment, the restaurant's opening represents another milestone in the area's ongoing development—one that combines new jobs, expanded dining choices and community partnerships.
