NCL Cypress Gems Chapter Recognizes Senior Class of 2023 for Achievements
21 young women in the senior class of the Cypress Gems Chapter of National Charity League, Inc. were recognized for their outstanding philanthropic service. At a formal event held at the Omni Hotel Houston on February 19, 2023, the Cypress Gems graduating class of 2023 were presented by their families and honored for their contributions to their chapter and their community.
National Charity League is a mother-daughter service organization committed to fostering the mother-daughter relationship through community service, leadership development, and cultural experiences. Alongside their mothers, the 2023 class performed over 3,250 hours of community service. Their work has benefitted multiple non-profit organizations such as Avanti Senior Living, Boys and Girls Country, Camo Rescue, Boys and Girls Country, Camp Hope, Cy-Fair Educational Foundation, Cy-Hope, Cypress Lucky Mutts, Giving Gown, Habitat for Humanity, Houston Food Bank, Inspiration Ranch, Memorial Hermann Cypress, Mercer Botanic Gardens, Methodist West, Reach Unlimited, Santa Maria Hostel, Sleep in Heavenly Peace, and TLC – Two Lives Changed.
The Cypress Gems chapter formed in 2014 and is comprised of girls attending Bridgeland, Cy-Fair, Cypress Ranch, Cypress Woods, and Waller High Schools.
Kristi Kelly, Cypress Gems Chapter President stated, “It has been an honor to watch the senior class fully embrace the core values of NCL. Their dedication to our chapter and community has led them to be confident leaders with servant’s hearts. Our community has benefited greatly from their leadership and volunteer efforts. We wish them much success in the future.”
