Today is National Dog Day! Dogs are some of the most loyal companions, selflessly and tirelessly giving us affection, friendship, protection, entertainment and much more. From Great Danes to miniature poodles, our furry friends touch our hearts in deeply meaningful, life-changing ways.
On this special day, they deserve to be celebrated for all they give to us. Here are a few ways you can celebrate your fur baby today.
- Take them to a local dog park, such as Katy Dog Park near Historic Downtown Katy, FB MUD 35 Dog Park in Cinco Ranch, Millie Bush Dog Park at George Bush Park, or Beverly Kaufman Dog Park at Paul Rushing Park
- Purchase their favorite treat like marrow bones, soft chews or dog-safe cookies
- Give them a luxurious bath and brushing, or drop them off at the groomer for some professional pampering
- Go for a walk around your neighborhood
- Schedule a doggy play date with a friend or family member so your pup can enjoy some play time with another canine
- Enroll your pup in training classes to help sharpen their skills, enhance obedience, strengthen your bond and more
- Take their picture in a beautiful spot and share with friends on social media
- Teach your pup a new trick
-
Give them extra cuddles and attention
