More Than 8,900 Class of 2023 CFISD Graduates Earn DiplomasÂ

The 12 Cypress-Fairbanks ISD graduation ceremonies held at the Berry Center from May 23-27 produced a total of 8,956 graduating seniors for the Class of 2023.
Each commencement exercise was highlighted by remarks and addresses from each campus principal and student representatives from every graduating class. Selected representatives also led the Pledge of Allegiance, while Air Force JROTC members presented the colors prior to each ceremony.

McCoy was among 684 Rams to walk across the stage and receive diplomas. In addition to earning their high school diplomas, approximately 511 CFISD seniors from 10 high schools also graduated with their associate degrees from Lone Star College—CyFair through the CFISD College Academy. The Class of 2021 from Cypress Lakes marked the inaugural College Academy graduating class, with 85 students earning both their high school diplomas and associate degrees. The College Academy allows eligible students to earn an associate degree from LSC—CyFair when they graduate high school. It is designed to allow students to take a sequence of college-level courses through the LSC—CyFair dual-credit program, which simultaneously provides credit toward their high school diploma.

Nearly 58,000 guests attended the Class of 2023 commencement exercises, while 65,105 others watched the graduation ceremonies through the CFISD YouTube channel. The views were both across the United States and 26 countries internationally as of May 31.
