(MG) County Tree Trimming In Middlegate

The streets in Middlegate are owned and maintained by Harris County. It is their responsibility to keep them safe and passable. Part of this maintenance is to keep the trees near these public roads trimmed at least 14 feet above the roadway to allow safe passage for emergency vehicles. Technically it is the homeowners’ duty to keep trees trimmed, but the county will step in and get the job done when asked. Trees will be trimmed back to the curbs to 14 feet clearance. In addition, trees are required to be trimmed to 8 feet above all sidewalks for safe pedestrian travel. The county will not trim this part of the trees, which is again the homeowner’s responsibility. We ask all residents to comply with safety guidelines and keep our neighborhood safe and beautiful. If you DO NOT want the county to trim your trees and want to trim them yourself, you must contact them at 713-755-6306.

(MG) End Of Summer Party

Don’t forget! The End of Summer Party is coming up very soon! Join the fun with your neighbors and partake from two food trucks at the pool from 1-4 PM on Sunday, September 5th. Then at dusk we will show a family friendly movie that you can watch from the pool. The movie is provided by Malibu Aquatics (our pool company). A big thank you to Scott for doing this for our community. Bring the whole family and share in the fun. Come enjoy the pool one more time before the season ends. We look forward to seeing you all and having a great time!

(MG) Garage Sale Date

Middlegate will have the Fall Garage Sale on October 9th and will have October 16th as a rain date. Please follow all federal, state and local Covid guidelines and keep each other safe.

(MG) National Night Out

We are planning to celebrate on October 5th in the Gazebo Park. Mark your calendars. If you would like to volunteer please contact Daryl at Crest Management. There is also a Neighborhood Events Committee on the Middlegate website that you can join. Stay tuned for more details to be announced and know that we are planning with Covid guidelines in mind, but if things get worse we will have to adjust on the fly to keep everyone safe.

(MG) Middlegate Lies Entirely Within Harris County

COMMISSIONER PRECINCT 3

  • A typical Harris County service request can be anything from reporting a pothole, trees obstructing roadways or traffic obstructions; to identifying road closures.
  • You can request non-emergency service by app Harris Helps or by website: https://webapps2.harriscountytx.gov/servicerequestform/pctform?pct3
  • The app allows you to post a photo to steer county to exact site that needs attention. If the repair is urgent, call directly to Commissioner Precinct 3 service department at 281-463-8703.

(MG) Annual Assessment

  • Your assessment payment covers many expenses incurred by Middlegate. Pool, parks, mowing, irrigation repairs and playground repairs are among the many expenses that HOA fees cover. For more complete list, go to Nabrnetwork and select resources tab. You can review budget items there.
  • Nabrnetwork is the community website for Middlegate residents. To register, connect at https://middlegatevillagehouston.nabrnetwork.com
  • The site is an electronic forum and features Middlegate by-laws, approved paint colors, resident directory, a messaging system to post news and photos and much more.
  • Nabrnetwork is monitored by the Middlegate HOA directors. Ads do not support maintenance of the website. It is a service provided to Middlegate HOA residents.
  • By contrast, Nextdoor is a social media hub supported by advertising. Nextdoor is headquartered in San Francisco and utilizes neighborhood administrative leads. Businesses and organizations pay nextdoor to present ads for products and services. Nextdoor is not the Middlegate website and is not monitored by HOA directors.

(MG) Middlegate And CCA

Middlegate homeowners belong to the Middlegate Village Community Association. The Association assumes responsibilities for such services as street lighting, mosquito control, common area maintenance (Middlegate parks and cul-de-sacs), pool upkeep and deed restriction enforcement.

The Copperfield Community Association provides services common to each of the villages of Copperfield. Among these are the law enforcement patrol contract, garbage collection contract and upkeep of the CCA park on Willow River.

Each Middlegate homeowner is billed an annual assessment for the purpose of providing the revenue to cover operating costs of the Middlegate Village Community Association and Middlegate’s portion of CCA’s operating costs.
