Mexican Sugar Brings Latin Flavor, Agave Vibes, and Weekend Brunch to The Domain in North Austin This Spring
One of Texas’ most buzzworthy Latin-inspired restaurants is making its way to the capital city. Mexican Sugar will officially open its newest location at The Domain in North Austin this spring, bringing bold Latin flavors, an expansive agave program, and vibrant design to one of the city's fastest-growing dining hubs.
Located at 11506 Century Oaks Terrace, Austin, TX 78758, the upcoming 11,000-square-foot restaurant promises more than just a meal—it aims to deliver a fully immersive experience. Guests can expect a striking grand entrance featuring hand-laid Mexican clay tile and a custom chandelier, leading into a stunning hacienda-style space layered with warm leather, vintage accents, and curated Latin American art.
Christine Magrann, President and COO of Mexican Sugar, shared the inspiration behind the Austin expansion.
“Austin’s food scene is deeply rooted in experience, which makes Mexican Sugar a natural fit,” she said. “Our Domain location brings together everything guests love about Latin culture while embracing Austin’s love of the outdoors. We’re excited to create a transportive space where people can gather and create unforgettable moments.”
Elevated Latin Dining, Made From Scratch
Mexican Sugar’s menu pays homage to the culinary traditions of Mexico with a modern twist. From hand-pressed heirloom masa tortillas to house-made mole and fresh-squeezed cocktail ingredients, every dish is prepared from scratch using seasonal and responsibly sourced ingredients.
Signature dishes expected at the Austin location include Chicken Mole, Barbacoa Tacos, Angus Skirt Steak, and the rich, indulgent Bone-in Pork Chop. Seafood lovers will enjoy dishes like the Spanish Mussels, while weekend brunchers can dive into Cajeta French Toast, Benedictos Rancheros, and Vanilla Cinnamon Pancakes—best paired with a Bloody Maria, Cava mimosa, or a house margarita.
