Melt N Dip to Bring Over-the-Top Chocolate Creations to Katy This February
Katy’s dessert scene is about to get a lot sweeter.
Melt N Dip, a chocolate-lover’s dream come true, is bringing its signature lineup of crepes, waffles, gelato, and over-the-top desserts to 21788 Katy Freeway, Suite 300, right next to the upcoming Matari Coffee location. Both shops are part of a locally led project from Raheel Suria, a Houston-area entrepreneur who’s transforming the former Alternate Reality Escape Room space into two new suites—each around 2,000 square feet and currently under renovation.
Construction will begin in mid-December, and renovations for both Melt N Dip and Matari Coffee are expected to wrap up by mid-February 2026.
Chocolate Everything, the Melt N Dip Way
If you haven’t heard of Melt N Dip, you’re in for a treat—literally. The international dessert café, originally founded in the United Arab Emirates in 2013, has grown a cult following for one very sweet reason: nearly every dish is drenched in not one, but three kinds of Belgian chocolate—milk, dark, and white.
The menu is packed with showstoppers like the Lava Cake paired with your favorite gelato, banana-stuffed crepes with cinnamon, the decadent Red Velvet Fettuccine, and the incredibly Instagrammable Triple Chocolate Crepe. And don’t miss out on their unique takes like the Fruit Stick skewer, Lotus Waffle, and Éclair Pyramid.

A Delicious Duo: Melt N Dip and Matari Coffee
While Melt N Dip will bring the sweets, Matari Coffee, set to open in the adjacent Suite 400, will serve up heritage-inspired coffee drinks rooted in Yemeni tradition. Together, these two new concepts are shaping up to be a destination for coffee and dessert lovers in Katy, all located in the same center as Fadi’s Mediterranean Grill, Tiff’s Treats, and Jinya Ramen Bar.
It’s no coincidence that both shops are opening side-by-side. Suria, who also brought Lumin Fitness to Cinco Ranch, has a track record for identifying unique brands and bringing them to vibrant, growing communities. This latest project adds variety and culture to an already thriving stretch of Katy Freeway and gives locals something new to look forward to.
