Mavis Tires and Brakes Coming to Tomball in 2026 with New Auto Repair Facility

September 03 2025

A new Mavis Tires and Brakes facility is set to break ground in early 2026 in the Tomball area, expanding the popular automotive brand’s footprint in northwest Harris County and offering local drivers a new option for trusted tire and auto repair services.

Located at 12660 Tomball Parkway, just off Highway 249, the planned location will feature a 6,952-square-foot, one-story motor vehicle repair facility, according to official development filings. The project is scheduled to begin construction in early January 2026, with completion targeted for late July 2026. The estimated cost for the new construction is $1.25 million.

Mavis Tires and Brakes is known nationwide for offering a wide range of automotive services, including new tire sales, tire rotations and balancing, brake repair, oil changes, wheel alignments, shocks and struts, battery replacement, and other routine maintenance needs. The company also offers online tire shopping with flexible scheduling and competitive pricing, making it a convenient one-stop shop for vehicle care. Their locations are often open seven days a week, providing flexibility for busy families and commuters.

The site sits within the Houston ETJ (extraterritorial jurisdiction) but falls in close proximity to Tomball, offering easy access for residents of nearby neighborhoods such as Willow Wood, Northpointe, and Oakcrest. The new facility marks another investment in Tomball’s fast-developing Tomball Parkway/SH 249 corridor, which continues to attract retailers, restaurants, and service providers to meet the needs of the area’s rapidly growing population.

As of now, the new Mavis facility is expected to include multiple service bays, a customer waiting area, and ample parking for vehicle drop-offs and repairs. While an official opening date has not yet been announced, construction plans and timelines are in place, and updates will likely follow in early 2026 as work progresses.

This project joins a growing list of new developments in northwest Harris County, reinforcing Tomball’s reputation as a destination for convenient suburban living and automotive accessibility.

My Neighborhood News will continue to provide construction updates and opening announcements for this and other upcoming Tomball businesses.
