Major League Table Tennis Tournament Coming to Katy

This weekend, League play for the recently formed Major League Table Tennis (MLTT) will be coming to Katy in a weekend-long tournament at the Merrell Center.

Founded by software entrepreneur and table tennis fanatic Flint Lane, MLTT is the newest and one of the most exciting sports leagues to enter the US. The first and only professional table tennis league in America, MLTT aims to advance the sport of table tennis by providing the ultimate table tennis experience while growing the league and supporting their athletes as they compete at the highest levels of the sport.

MLTT currently features 8 teams in cities across the country competing in an innovative team based format. From October 27 through 29, Major League Table Tennis West Division teams will face off at the Merrell Center, located at 6301 S Stadium Lane in Katy. The West Division is comprised of the Portland Paddlers, Seattle Spinners, Texas Smash, and Bay Area Blasters.

Saturday

Portland vs. Bay Area @ 4:00 PM
Seattle vs. Texas @ 7:30 PM

Sunday

Portland vs. Seattle @ 11:00 AM
Bay Area vs. Texas @ 2:30 PM

The East and West Divisions' regular season will run through March 2024. In April 2024, the two top teams from each division will compete in the Final Four for the coveted MLTT Cup and $100,000 in prize money.
