Magnolia Springs Residents Invited to Engage at Upcoming Magnolia ISD School Board Meeting
Magnolia Springs community members have an opportunity to get involved in the decisions shaping local education at the upcoming Magnolia ISD School Board meeting, scheduled for Monday, January 12, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. at the Magnolia Event Center, located at 11659 FM 1488, Magnolia, TX 77354.
These monthly meetings, held on the second Monday of each month, offer a vital forum for parents, students, staff, and taxpayers to stay informed and participate in meaningful conversations about the direction of public education in the Magnolia area. As families and the district continue to grow, so does the importance of community input.
What’s on the Agenda?
January’s meeting agenda reflects several critical updates and recognitions. Kicking off with a student-led Pledge of Allegiance, the meeting will highlight local students—including Addyson McBride, a senior from Magnolia High School, and Thomas Hodge and Luke Jaksch, representing Bear Branch Elementary and Magnolia Parkway Intermediate, respectively.
As part of School Board Recognition Month, trustees will also celebrate the January Teacher of the Month, honoring the work and dedication of educators throughout the district.
Following a brief recess, the Audience Participation segment begins, where Magnolia Springs residents can make public comments directly to the Board. To speak, attendees must complete a request form at the sign-in table between 5:30 p.m. and 6:15 p.m., no later than 15 minutes before the meeting begins.
Key Issues for Magnolia ISD Stakeholders
Among the items on the Superintendent’s Report are a Demographic Update and a Planning for Growth discussion—timely topics as Magnolia ISD continues to expand in one of the fastest-growing areas of Montgomery County.
The Consent Agenda includes approval of the December 2025 financials and a Review of Findings in the School Safety Report, which will be of special interest to parents wanting to stay informed on how the district is working to keep campuses secure.

The Considered Agenda features a review of the 2024–2025 Financial Audit, offering transparency into how public funds are being managed.
Following the public portion of the meeting, the Board will enter Executive Session to privately discuss matters including intrusion detection audits, property transactions, and personnel decisions, as permitted under Texas law.
Why Your Voice Matters
For Magnolia Springs residents, attending a school board meeting is more than just a civic duty—it’s a chance to help shape the future of local public education. Whether you're a parent wanting updates on safety and staffing, a taxpayer interested in budgetary accountability, or a student advocate supporting your teachers and peers, this meeting offers a space to be heard and to listen.
Audience participation is welcome during each regular meeting, and comments can be made on both agenda and non-agenda items. Each speaker will be allowed up to three minutes, with possible time adjustments based on attendance.

To speak during the meeting:
- Arrive early to fill out an Audience Participation Form (available from 5:30–6:15 p.m.)
