Local Kindergartener Wins MNN BTS Photo Contest
Meet Bradley! He is five years old and recently started kindergarten at Epiphany Lutheran. Brimming with imagination, this spunky elementary student has some big ideas for his future.
A resident of Copperfield, Bradley enjoys spending his spare time playing video games, having fun with his grandma, going on treasure hunts and having pillow fights. When he’s not having quality family time, he’s on the soccer field, the basketball court or broadening his musical skills at piano lessons. He hopes to learn how to play “The Devil Went Down to Georgia” on the piano one day.
On the weekends, Bradley likes to get out and about in his community. He rotates between local entertainment centers like Bounce Bounce, Monkey Joe’s and Urban Air, where he can have a blast while expending some energy. When it’s time to relax at home, he enjoys watching Paw Patrol, Marmaduke and Alien TV, or playing board games with his family like Yummy Yummy Monster Tummy.
At school, he enjoys music class, where he gets to have fun with boomwhackers. If a friend gets hurt on the playground, he doesn’t hesitate to assist, like helping them up if they fall. Although he attended a preschool program before kindergarten, Bradley’s favorite teacher so far is his current kindergarten teacher, Ms. McNamara.
“I like her because she gives us marshmallows and stickers – two of them – when we do a good job like when I clear out my binder or do all of my work,” Bradley said about his kindergarten teacher.
Of all the holidays throughout the year, Christmas is his favorite because of – you guessed it – the presents, both receiving and giving them. Bradley already has his sights on some fun new toys like a Lego set, video games, monster action figure and a magic set.
When Bradley grows up, he wants to be a construction worker and a gamer. Specifically, he wants to play games professionally and make a unique video game about dogs with glasses that eat cupcake monsters. Sounds like some new-age version of PAC-MAN!
In addition, he wants to build houses in a completely new style that incorporates whimsical elements like water slides for exits and rock-climbing walls for entrances. His architectural style would be a mashup of conventional single-family homes, skyscrapers and castles, with robot arms for an added fun factor. In case you are wondering how quickly you can get your new home designed by Bradley, these homes would take more than five weeks to build, according to him.
On how he enjoys helping people, Bradley offers words of encouragement like “you can do this.” With a vivid imagination like his, a can-do attitude and a kind heart towards others, there’s no doubt that Bradley will make his mark on the world.
