Levelle Norris Named Jersey Village Campus Athletic Coordinator and Head Football Coach

December 19 2024

Jersey Village High School in Cy-Fair ISD has named Levelle Norris as the permanent campus athletic coordinator and head football coach after he served as interim athletic coordinator and head coach following the retirement of Coach David Snokhous in April 2024. Norris, who brings 25 years of coaching experience to the role, has been a key figure in Jersey Village athletics since 2017.

Before his promotion, Norris was the defensive coordinator and head track coach at Jersey Village. Under his leadership, the Falcons football team achieved notable success, including a district championship in 2019 and a bi-district championship in 2022. His extensive coaching experience spans multiple schools in Texas, with notable roles as head football coach and head track coach at Presidio High School, and as defensive coordinator at schools like Los Fresnos High School, John Jay High School in San Antonio, and Wagner and Madison High Schools in San Antonio.

“We are excited to have Coach Levelle Norris serve as the campus athletic coordinator and head football coach at Jersey Village High School,” said Virginia Flores, CFISD director of athletics. “Beyond his coaching ability, Coach Norris deeply impacts the athletes he serves and the coaches he works alongside. He has an enthusiasm and pride for the school and community that are unparalleled. Focused on the positive and what he can control, Coach Norris has a plan to maximize the factors he can impact that pairs well with the strengths of Jersey Village and its community.”

Norris expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to lead Jersey Village athletics, acknowledging the influence of his predecessor, Coach David Snokhous. “I would like to sincerely thank Ms. Wiley and Coach Flores for giving me the incredible opportunity to lead the athletics programs at Jersey Village High School,” Norris said. “Jersey Village is a special school with a vibrant and supportive community. I also want to express my gratitude to my mentor, David Snokhous, whose guidance has shown me how to instill pride both in the school and the community. I am excited about the opportunity to help develop our Falcons in competition, in the classroom, and in the community as they work together to create their flight plan.”

Norris holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and a Master of Science in Education from Sul Ross State University. His leadership at Jersey Village High School is poised to continue the strong tradition of Falcon athletics, with a focus on student development both on and off the field.
