LEGOLAND San Antonio Goes Halloween Mode With Brick or Treat and a Halloween Adult Night
October is shaping up to be a busy month for LEGO fans in San Antonio, and this time, the Halloween fun is not just for kids.
LEGOLAND Discovery Center San Antonio at the Shops at Rivercenter will bring back its family-friendly Brick or Treat celebration throughout October, followed by a special Halloween "Whodunnit" Mystery LEGO Adult Night on Friday, Oct. 23.
Together, the events give San Antonio families and adult LEGO fans separate chances to get creative, solve challenges and spend a little Halloween time downtown without relying on the usual haunted-house formula.
Brick or Treat Brings a Month of Halloween LEGO Fun to San Antonio
Brick or Treat runs Oct. 1 through Oct. 31, 2026, during regular LEGOLAND Discovery Center attraction hours. The seasonal activities are included with regular admission.
This year's theme puts the Minifigure Monsters in charge, with Halloween activities spread throughout the indoor attraction.
Young builders can take part in Halloween-themed building challenges and visit the Ghoulish Glow zone, where creative workshops center on ghost-inspired, glow-in-the-dark LEGO builds.
Families will also find the return of The Great Monster Chase 4D, a LEGO movie experience that combines the film with physical effects inside the theater.
For parents searching for Halloween events in San Antonio that can work regardless of the weather, Brick or Treat has another practical advantage: the entire LEGOLAND Discovery Center experience is indoors.
General admission currently starts at $21.99 per person when purchased online in advance, according to LEGOLAND. Same-day admission is listed from $24.99. Prices and availability can change, so families planning an October visit may want to check current ticket options before heading downtown.
Grown-Ups Get Their Own Halloween LEGO Night
Later in the month, LEGOLAND will flip its usual family format for an evening designed specifically for adults.
The Halloween "Whodunnit" Mystery LEGO Adult Night is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 23, 2026, and is open only to guests ages 18 and older. LEGOLAND's main event listing currently shows the event running from 7 to 10 p.m., with admission priced at $24.99 per person.
The night's mystery asks guests to figure out who destroyed the Master Model Builder's final creation and stole a golden brick.
Rather than simply walking through the attraction after hours, participants will earn clues by completing LEGO challenges. Planned activities include a Brick-or-Treat mosaic, glow-in-the-dark workshop, MINILAND San Antonio scavenger hunt, speed-building challenge, pumpkin build, FRIENDS Flower Shop build and an earthquake-table challenge that puts LEGO creations to the test.
Guests can also meet a Master Model Builder, watch LEGO movie shorts in the 4D theater, encounter costumed LEGO characters and explore much of the center without children present. Tickets are limited, according to LEGOLAND, and the event can sell out.
One detail is worth checking before making plans. Although LEGOLAND's current event header lists Adult Night from 7 to 10 p.m., additional text farther down the same official page still references a 6 to 9 p.m. event with last entry at 6:30 p.m. Because those times conflict, ticket holders should confirm the final schedule directly with LEGOLAND before arriving.
A Downtown San Antonio Attraction Built Around the City Itself
LEGOLAND Discovery Center San Antonio has been part of the downtown entertainment scene since opening at the Shops at Rivercenter in April 2019.
The indoor attraction now advertises more than a dozen rides, play areas and experiences, including Kingdom Quest, Merlin's Apprentice, LEGO building areas and a 4D cinema.
One of its most distinctly San Antonio features is MINILAND San Antonio, a miniature version of the city constructed from more than 1.5 million LEGO bricks. The display includes LEGO interpretations of landmarks such as the Alamo, San Antonio River Walk and Tower of the Americas. Even the Alamodome is represented with more than 50,000 bricks.
That local connection makes the October scavenger hunt especially fitting. Families and adults are not simply walking through a generic LEGO attraction. They are searching and building inside a pint-sized version of their own city.
What Families Should Know Before Visiting
LEGOLAND Discovery Center San Antonio is located at 849 E. Commerce St., Suite 910, inside the Shops at Rivercenter in downtown San Antonio, within walking distance of the Alamo and River Walk. The attraction offers discounted validated parking at the Rivercenter Crockett Street and Commerce Street garages.
During normal operating days, adults generally cannot enter LEGOLAND Discovery Center without a child age 17 or younger. Adult Nights are the exception, giving adult LEGO fans a chance to visit without children.
That distinction makes October especially flexible for local LEGO fans. Families can spend nearly the entire month working Brick or Treat into their fall plans, while adults have one dedicated Friday night to compete, build and unravel a LEGO mystery of their own.
With Halloween events filling calendars across San Antonio, LEGOLAND's lineup offers something a little different: one celebration built for kids and families, and another that acknowledges plenty of grown-ups never really stopped loving LEGO bricks either.
