Layla’s Barkery Opens in Tomball with Tail-Wagging Treats and a Heartfelt Mission

October 10 2025

Tomball’s newest pet-friendly hotspot is officially opening its doors—and it’s all going to the dogs (in the best way possible). Layla’s Barkery, a locally owned and lovingly inspired dog treat shop, is celebrating its Grand Opening Pawty on Saturday, October 11 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at 22525 Hufsmith Kohrville Rd, Suite 3C, just behind Della Casa Pasta.

Born out of one dog mom’s desire to provide wholesome, delicious treats to her pup, Layla’s Barkery offers more than baked goods—it’s a tribute, a community space, and a celebration of every dog’s joy.

A Celebration for Pups and Their People

The Grand Opening event promises a day full of fun, freebies, and furry friends. Visitors can enjoy:

  • Free coffee and matcha from Collective Houston for the first 50 guests
  • $25 microchipping offered by Pet Life Urgent Care (10–11 a.m.)
  • Complimentary nail trims by Canine Parlor (11 a.m.–2 p.m.)
  • A dog-friendly photo booth with Sanctified360Photos
  • Free goodie bags for the first 100 guests
  • Raffles, samples, and in-store discounts—with proceeds supporting local pet rescues

Plus, local vendors like Nykari Studio, Alex V Designs, Zoomies Parks, and Kona Bear Studios will be on site offering unique pet-themed goods and gifts.

A Business with Heart: Layla’s Legacy Lives On

The story behind Layla’s Barkery is as heartfelt as its handmade dog treats.

Owner and baker Monica founded the business after adopting her dog Layla, who quickly became her inspiration. “I wanted her to have a healthy diet, but store-bought treats were filled with ingredients I couldn’t even pronounce,” Monica shared. So, she began baking her own—using only safe, natural, and nutritious ingredients.

Though Layla sadly passed away from cancer in 2021, her legacy lives on through the Barkery. Today, Monica continues to create fresh, personalized treats—and Layla’s younger brother, Bheem, serves as “Quality Control Manager,” making sure every bite is dog-approved.
